What kind of results are people getting...

I had mine removed in May and only a sore throat for a few days! Everything else went back to normal! I didn't have to take anymore meds for heartburn, bloating or anything!!! After two days my appetite came back to normal so be careful as you can easily slip back into old habits! Since removal in May I had lost 50lbs and gained back 10 lbs and lost 5 again! My doctor gave be phentermine to use for now so I can try to stay on track!

I lost 50 lbs with Obera ballon!!
  3. They said I started to vomit during the procedure so they put a tube in my nose and maybe that's why it's so sore! I felt a little cramping and spasms today so I filled the script Hyoscyamine they gave me.
  4. Definatly from the procedure! Never had this pain before. I barely ate a piece of toast yesterday and a cup of tea!
  5. I had the ballon removed yesterday 2 weeks early! I'm so happy that the bloating is gone and I feel normal again!!! I did the clear liquids mostly but I had a protein shake on the morning before take out! My throat is so sore that I don't want to swallow anything and mucus stuck in my throat! Other than that I feel good and I lost 50 lbs!!!
  6. May is going to be a very busy month with traveling for work and vacation so I choose to take it out 2 weeks early and frankly I'm just tired of not feeling like myself! The weight loss has been great (47 lbs) but the sickness had been miserable for me!
  7. I'm having my Ballon removed 2 weeks early this Wednesday! The dr. Office said I should be on clear liquids for 2 days. When I had it put in I only had to fast for 12 hours and I can see maybe one day of liquids but why clear liquids? Anyone else getting theirs out soon or has it out? What was your pre-op?

If I had to do it over yes I would because everyone has their own experience! My doc gave me the patch, zofran and amind for nausea! I used all of them!

I'm 4 months out and still losing! 42 lbs down! I still feel restricted and bloated all the time! I also still have bad acid reflux and occasional vomiting! Can't wait to get this out in six weeks but hoping to lose 20 more pounds before that! Everyone's experience is so different!

Yes! My Dr suggested using multivitamin patch and I've been using them! I order them from Thesmartpatch.com. Seem to be working fine for me! I've had my Ballon for 4 months and down 40 lbs!
  11. Hi, try to hang in there! I've had my Ballon for 3 1/2 months and I was feeling the same as you for about 2 months! Nexium did nothing for me so I switched to Zantac twice a day and that helps some! I was on all the nausea pills vomoting every other day and it finally went away last month! I take tums in between a chewing gum helps me with the acid after meals! I can't wait until May to get it out but I'm trying to make the best of it now! I've lost 37 lbs!

I've had the ballon for 3 months and the first 2 months was severe nausea and vomiting, acid reflux and I was very weak! I'm better now but still have occasional n/v but I don't have to take the meds anymore! I've been exercising regularly at my gym again and I'm down 35 lbs!!!

Hey @@candykerr7 How much are you eating at a time? What does your diet consist of? I don't eat rice at all! It made me sick so I just don't bother. I eat very little bread maybe 1 slice every other day! I mostly eat protein, chicken, steak, deli meat and tuna. I do eat plain chips sometimes! I started making smoothies to get fruit and veggies in and I add flax seed to it because I had a bad case of constipation for the first 2 months!

Today was my 3 month check up visit and I'm down 35 lbs!!! My goal is to lose 35 more by May! It was rough the first 2 months but getting better now! I still have some nausea and vomiting but moving throughout the day really helps! I stopped eating lettuce/spinach salads because it sticks to the ballon and that was one thing that was making feel bad! I guess the bloating is not going away until this thing comes out! 3 down 3 to go! I can do it!

I've had my Ballon for 3 months now and just went back to the gym about 3 weeks ago! I felt the same way as you for the first 2 months! I was advised by the nutritionist to just lift weights in the beginning and don't worry about cardio too much. Since I've been back at the gym I've been able to take classes but I do feel nauseous some times. I find that chewing gum helps me get through my workouts!
