  1. Hey hot stuff!! Thanks!
  2. Thanks, Donna!
  3. If I have to take any meds, which is extremely rare, "I swallow small pills normally but crush/break/use liquid rather than take large pills."
  4. :biggrin1: Welcome to the thread, Sunshine and Sistafunk! P.S. 194 today. :biggrin1: :biggrin1:
  5. Donna - you're very welcome. If your body is still sore today, maybe you should give yourself a day off. I would suggest starting out at 3 times a week and then build up from there. Your trainer is right, if the lunges are hurting your knee, you shouldn't do them. There are other ways to build up muscle and strength in your legs. I have a bad knee too so I try to stay away from them or just do a few. niche - good news on the weight loss and fitting into a size 31 jeans. :clap2:
  6. Thanks, Donna. I'm happy to hear that you at least tried the weight training class. Remember, the more you go, the easier it will get. And, think of the benefits after the Aspircream (sp?) rub down.
  7. From my understanding (and I may be wrong), any attempt at weight loss, whether medically supervised or not, will be considered when applying for coverage. However, I think that your doctor has/had to be aware of it so that it's written in his/her charts.
  8. I love drinking my iced lattes or iced coffees with a straw. For some reason, they just taste better that way. So...to answer your question, I've had no problems with them.

  14. Please visit the thread below for help. Dumping, however, is not associated with lap band patients. It's something that happens with RNY patients. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=7959 Dumping: http://weightloss.about.com/od/obesityhealth/a/bl_gastdump.htm

  17. LOL @ paisley. It's perfectly ok. I was laughing when it happened too. It was gross, yes, but soooo funny. My husband had a good chuckle over it too.
  18. Thank you for sharing this, my dear friend. You've done a fantastic job and I'm so very proud of you.
  19. My first PB was my most embarrassing. My husband and I were driving from Oregon to Las Vegas and had just gone to Starbucks for Breakfast after staying overnight in Twin Falls, ID. I was roughly 1 month out from surgery and could tolerate most foods, including bread, so I decided to get a cinnamon roll. I was behind the wheel that morning to allow my tired (and somewhat cranky) husband to rest. Well, after only 2 bites of the cinnamon roll, I had that massive pain in my chest and started sliming. We were on the Interstate and I thought I could just roll down the window and spit everything out. WRONG!!! It flew right back in and smacked me right on the cheek and went in my hair. It was soooo disgusting. Thankfully we had a few napkins so that I could clean myself up a bit. Of course, we pulled over at the next exit so that I could use the restroom and make sure that everything was clean. ICK ICK ICK!!
  20. Ok, I'm feeling better but not yet 100%. However, I did pull weeds, trim hedges/bushes, rake and sweep the walkway this morning, which took about 1 hour. If I'm feeling better later, I may ride my recumbant bike or do the Abs of Steel and Buns of Steel videos. :girl_hug:
  21. Wow, :first:!!! You're SMMMOOOOKKKIINNNNNGGGG HOT!!
  22. Plateaus suck!! The following link has a great plateau busting diet. I haven't been on a plateau long enough to try it but still keep it in my favorites, just in case. http://www.digitalhorsewoman.com/plateaubusting.htm
