  1. I agree with the above poster. You really should have some of the saline taken out so that you're able to eat the necessary amount of calories per day to support your growing baby.

I never had morning sickness or vomitting during my pregnancy but I did have my band loosened 3 times during. I started at 2.8cc in a 4cc band. At about 3 1/2 months, I had .4cc taken out just in case I needed to eat more. At 5 months, I had another .4cc taken out prior to flying in the event the change in altitude affected my restriction (and it did!). Then, at 8 months, I had 1cc taken out because my little guy was pushing up on the band and I got fairly restricted.

    Best of luck to you!

  2. spudgirl, you should never discount the fact that you've already lost 41 pounds! That's fantastic. Imagine where you'd be if you hadn't lost those 41 pounds.

I would suggest waiting a little while before TTC because it's healthier overall. However, I do wish you luck, whatever you decide.

BTW, I was 2 pounds below goal when I got pregnant.

  3. I was obese for over 20 years and have excess skin on my tummy, inner thighs and upper arms. I also have deflated breasts.

I will (hopefully) be getting a combo tummy tuck/thigh lift/breast implants as well as the new arm lift where the incision/scar is in your armpit AFTER my husband and I have a baby - - not pregnant yet, mind you.

What really gets my goat is when people who have never had a weight problem think that excercise alone will get rid of excess skin. They are so wrong. I began exercising 3 months after surgery and my skin would probably look the same if I hadn't. There is no guarantee that your skin will bounce back. Only luck is on your side.

  4. Thanks Tricia, I haven't been banded yet (hopefully soon) but I like to travel and thats why I wonderded about the port setting something off. Also thanks for including your before and after pic (it gives me hope) keep up the good work, you look wonderful.

You're welcome, Teal. And, thank you. :myscared:

  5. My husband takes Wellbutrin to aid in smoking cessation. After being on it for about 3 weeks, he experienced severe itching but it eventually went away. He started at 150mg, went as high as 450mg but is now taking 300mg.

  6. I know this is true, but in our lives it just hasn't come up very much (thank goodness!). We have rules that--until yesterday--the girls follow quite well. I guess there's a first time for everything.
I thought as much, which is why I imagined I was preaching to the choir.
And Tricia, WOW, you look amazing! :biggrin1:
    Thank you!

  7. Even though I'm a step-parent, I'm going to chime in. I think your punishment is appropriate for the infraction. Taking away access to the very thing they snuck out to play on will teach them a great lesson. Obviously, your girls are very mature for their ages and know the difference between right and wrong. However, sometimes certain things can be extremely tempting and children will still cave in. Heck, we as adults tend to do the same thing at times.

And, as much as some parents don't seem to understand, children want to be punished and will respect their parents greatly because of it. I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir on that one, but wanted to state it nonetheless.

  8. I have various songs from the following artists in my workout playlist:

    - Destiny's Child

    - Pussycat Dolls

    - Pitbull

    - Gwen Stefani

    - Beyonce

    - Ludacris

    - Black Eyed Peas

    - Fergie

    - Jo Jo

    - Rhianna

    - Kelis

    - Nelly Furtado

  9. My jewelry is very simple and I prefer white gold or sterling silver. I typically wear only my engagement/wedding rings and 1 ring on my right hand - the Tiffany & Co. Hook and Eye ring in sterling silver & 18k yellow gold (no longer available). Tiffany & Co. still sells the matching bracelet though.

Occasionally, I will wear my Movado necklace and matching earrings, which were a gift from my husband for Valentine's Day.

  10. Surgical Specialists of Louisiana has an office in Metairie at Omega Hospital. Chris Nelson is the Nurse Practitioner that does fills there. From my understanding, they charge approx. $250 for the first fill and approx. $155 for all fills thereafter. The reason their first visit fee is so much is that they have to review all of your surgical notes and x-rays, which you must bring with you.
