LOL...I'm not shocked, Funny. :biggrin1: I typically vote Democrat but I've supported and voted for some Republicans when I've had enough information on that candidate to feel confident in my vote.

My jewelry is very simple and I prefer white gold or sterling silver. I typically wear only my engagement/wedding rings and 1 ring on my right hand - the Tiffany & Co. Hook and Eye ring in sterling silver & 18k yellow gold (no longer available). Tiffany & Co. still sells the matching bracelet though. Occasionally, I will wear my Movado necklace and matching earrings, which were a gift from my husband for Valentine's Day.

Looking for a fill Dr in Louisiana...
Tricia K. replied to rahnava's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Surgical Specialists of Louisiana has an office in Metairie at Omega Hospital. Chris Nelson is the Nurse Practitioner that does fills there. From my understanding, they charge approx. $250 for the first fill and approx. $155 for all fills thereafter. The reason their first visit fee is so much is that they have to review all of your surgical notes and x-rays, which you must bring with you. I'm Scared - Something is going wrong - HELP PLEASE
Tricia K. replied to My_o_My's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
This is exactly what happened to me last week. I had a fill the week prior of .2cc's and went almost a week without proper hydration. I could eat but I couldn't get liquids down. After almost fainting, I called for an emergency partial unfill. I had .3cc's taken out and felt instantly better. I've gained back the weight I lost during that week but I'm perfectly fine with it. I'd rather gain 3 pounds than pass out (or worse) from dehydration. FYI - My partial unfill was done on Mardi Gras day, which here in Louisiana is a big deal. It's a state holiday and my doctor's office was closed. I had to get the on-call surgeon to open the office for me. I wasn't taking any chances with my health. -
Ugh, I have so much that I want to say but I'm going to bite my tongue.

bump for the day crowd -
No, I'm not shaving my head...BUT I have registered to be a volunteer for the St. Baldrick's Foundation event in my area. Why don't you do the same? What is the St. Baldrick's Foundation anyway? The mission of the St. Baldrick's Foundation is to raise awareness and funds to cure kids' cancer by supporting cancer research and fellowships. Visit the ST. BALDRICK'S FOUNDATION website to learn more about how you can become involved by being either a shavee, barber/stylist, an event organizer or volunteer for an event.

Denied new insurance coverage because of band!
Tricia K. replied to Barbara12375's topic in Insurance & Financing
Barbara, I applied for individual coverage early this year and was denied by 3 different companies because I had lap band surgery. One company flat out wouldn't take my application, a 2nd company denied me because of a 3 year waiting period stipulation, and the 3rd company denied me because of a 1 year waiting period stipulation. Because I just passed 1 year, I re-applied (yesterday) with company #3 and hope to be approved. Good luck in your search. It will be tough but be aggressive in your fight. -

Gone For Good Club - September 2006

Thanks, Heather. I agree with Kathy...once a week is perfectly ok. Don't stress over it. And, if someone doesn't check in, don't chase them down.
