kaitlynm got a reaction from mngreeneyes in Down how many dress sizes
I was a solid size 24 in October2015 and now I'm in a 14. I'm finally able to shop in the regular sizes rather than the plus size area. I thought this was going to be so great, but I find that I'm intimidated by the new styles and almost too many choices. I think part of it is wanting to cover everything up with over sized clothing. I guess it is just part of the process. I still have 55 pounds to loose so hopefully I will get used to the new look.

My insurance took 21 days to approve the surgery once they confirmed the receipt of the paperwork. Everything was approved they just took a long time to do it. My surgeon will not even schedule a surgery until he has written confirmation from the insurance company. Good news was that once he had the approval I was scheduled very quickly.

kaitlynm got a reaction from Inner Surfer Girl in Calorie intake
I'm only 4 months out but I was experiencing a lot of stalls when I started upping my exercise dramatically. I was told to eat more carbs because of the increased exercise (2 hours every day), and to up my calorie intake. This did help me start loosing weight again and I haven't had as many stalls. For the carbs she did tell me to eat fruits and veggies. I try to keep it under 80 g per day.

kaitlynm got a reaction from Valentina in Extreme Low BP After Surgery
About 2 months out I was still on BP meds and my BP went down to 80 / 40. I ended up passing out on my bathroom floor and fractured my nose. I was dizzy whenever I stood up for two weeks prior to passing out and I should have been more proactive in getting off of the meds. After you pass out they want to do all kinds of expensive tests and even suggested not driving for 6 months. Being single that is not an option for me. I wish my surgeon would have warned me about watching the BP. I was used to only having it checked once a year and didn't realize how quickly it could return back to normal after surgery.
