  1. NSV? Lost and caught: So there I was--surf fishing (my favorite thing among all things)--standing on the beach in my old, way too loose sweat pants and surf shoes when my lines went "zzzzziiiiiiinnnnnggggg!!!!!" (really big fish on the hook and taking my line). I yanked the rod, fish lurched deeper into the ocean--pulling me in. There I was knee deep--my now water soaked sweats (now way too big since weight loss) down around my knees. What happened? I caught a forty four inch striped bass and lost my pants. I never felt the least bit embarrassed. I was feeling way to joyful, not only for catching a nice fish, but for losing enough weight to lose my pants in the process! I guess it's a good thing I wore my new baby blue undies that day. smile emoticon I was the only woman surf fishing that day and all of the guys were good spirited about the whole experience and attempted to save my "dignity" Ha! I had just out fished all of them!!!!! Joy, joy,

Way to flash those baby blues!!!! That's the sign of a tried and true fisher-woman to sacrifice a little skin to pull that catch in. Here's to many more fishing stories like this one and many more fantastic days ahead!!!

  6. Had my longest run yet for my half marathon training this past Saturday. 10 miles running, plus another mile of warm-up/cool-down, for a total of 11 miles!

  7. Little changes start early and become habits right ?? WEll, I am steadily sipping water all day long and have made it a habit the last two weeks. Every time I have to empty the bladder I hit the stairwell across the hall from the bathroom and do two sets of stairs. It is 30 steps up and 30 s teps down. So 60 setps a set and I am doing two sets. So 120 steps ata time. I am averaging 4 trips a day so for 480 steps. or 240 vertical steps. Tomorrow before leaving I will do take the elevator up to the 22nd floor and come all the way down. Baby steps !

  8. ONEderland today! 1 year, 3 months, and now 198 lbs SO HAPPY!

  9. My husband is cooking himself a steak. He deserves it, he's worked hard outside in the yard all day. It smells absolutely fantastic - but I'm having trouble keeping protein dranks down. This, too, shall pass.

Ohhhhh the term. Significant other not cool, but yes creepy. I would be ok with friend, but I'm not normal or so they say.

  13. I did not tell Dub to post pics of his junk on the internet, purely for research purposes of course. Aren't you proud of me?

  14. Good news? The platinum/diamond ring that John made for me just before his suicide fell off my hand in the pool today. Thankfully, two goggled men found it for me on the bottom of the pool. Today would have been John and my 15th anniversay. Is this a sign to "let go", or just that my hands are shrinking?

  15. So.....went out and bought a couple pairs of pants yesterday......had to try them on first.....still wouldn't allow my self to by the size I really should have..

I have to agree all around, especially about pants fitting well in the rump. Don't disappoint the masses.

  17. Had a little victory today. Went to Longwood Gardens to tour the orchid exhibit in the conservatory. Managed to walk for over 3 hours with just a couple short little breaks to sit and chat with my friend while taking in the beautiful flowers. Seriously, a couple months ago I couldn't have handled the walk from the parking lot to the visitor center let alone the hike over to the conservatory and throughout. Looking forward to how much better it will be after surgery. Can't wait to go out and DO things!

  18. Healthy, wealthy and wise ? Meh......how 'bout two outa three. Yeah, that's it.....that's the ticket. Healthier in every imaginable way.......and recent events have allowed glimpse of budding wisdom, dare I say. Wealth was spent on medical events and self funding the sleeve surgery last year....ouch, but oh so worth it. Looking forward to being one of the hombres that gets his checkups every so often and the proactive dental visits. Other than than....my only cash outlay for medical stuff is my gym membership. LOL. The new life sure beats the old life. Why did I wait so freaking long. Feels good to be on solid ground and looking ahead with anticipation and hope. Spring is coming and I'm READY !!!!

  19. Today is my one year surgeversary! I couldn't be happier with how far I've come. My surgeon feels I've hit my goal. I'm happy where I am at size-wise (minus the excess belly flab) and still dream of getting to 148 pounds. Today was rock out the skinny Old Navy size 10 coated jeans and a new cold shoulders top. Felt soooo dang cute!

  20. "A Long And Winding Road". 4 years later--I have arrived in Onederland!!
