Easter Weight Loss Challenge

154 Your the best!!!! -
I ran into a friend that knows about my surgery. She kept looking me up and down, then saying "Your wasting away" Look at your bootie you have one, your legs on and on. I know she meant well but fast forward to Walmart a couple hours later and I go straight to the plus size section clearance rack. I actually pulled some items off thinking if they are big that's ok. I stopped myself and moved over a section, but could not put the other stuff back. Stuff... it was two pair of workout pants. Then I spotted another clearance rack with the pants....gulp another section over. That is where I found the proper size. The whole time feeling like an impostor. This little lady looked at me and I was waiting for the your in the wrong section comment or look. I didn't even go put the plus size back in the correct section, I hung them on the rack and ran to the register like a thief. I just feel a little freakish right now, my next purchase has to be a new swimsuit. I'm gonna need a Valium.

I finally tried on the exercise pants, I am just still shocked they fit. It's nice knowing I'm not alone in those feelings. -

TMI potty talk coming your way
GibbsGirl replied to theladyslipper's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Went three days in a row, with no chemical help. I'm feeling so much better, my Mom and sisters have always had issues. One sister was born without the nerve that makes it happen, so she uses Senna-S daily and has found it to work great. I definitely feel so much sympathy for anyone with problems. -
Running dating experiments...dont worry, nothing negative
GibbsGirl replied to CowgirlJane's topic in Singles Forum
First let me say I hope you are feeling better. Second thanks for being so honest and upfront about this, it is interesting on a human level but also very informative for someone like me who is looking to jump in the dating scene in the future. -
What Change Did You Make that You Never Thought You Could?
GibbsGirl replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
It's hard to imagine but I am proud I made it through the pre op and post op. It was difficult all around, but worth it. I could never imagine myself being able to to any of it in the beginning, -

New here and so anxious
GibbsGirl replied to mamakatx3's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Absolutely all the same fears, even the fear of success. It's all normal. I just had to stay busy and keep my eye on the prize which was being able to see every football game and activity my son preformed in his senior year. It's all worth it I promise. My Doctor had me write down the top 10 reason for doing this and I look back on it even now. -
3 weeks out..out if the blue tears
GibbsGirl replied to Padp's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your right it has a lot to do with hormones and all the changes. Best thing I did was keep my hands busy and realize it will pass. -
I have been looking at bikes as well. None of the seats look comfortable. I will be following this thread hoping to learn more. I know I just want a cruising bike, I have no idea how or why to shift gears. lol My last bike had a banana seat and fringe I pulled off because it was too girly.

I put a little pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese on Canadian Bacon and warm up in the microwave. It's a mini pizza.

TMI potty talk coming your way
GibbsGirl replied to theladyslipper's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Honestly today is the 2nd non chemically induced poo in a couple of weeks, anything before that not so much since surgery. I stopped all the internal meds for movement and even the probotic weeks ago because they caused so much cramping etc and still didn't work. I have been using suppositories twice a week up till the past two weeks. I was so excited today, there was dancing and singing. I also added 1 oz of either pecans or cashews everyday to help with the process. So I'm saying I feel your pain!! -

Holy cow! Should I have been able to eat that much?
GibbsGirl replied to thomas1984's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The experts will be able to explain the details, don't panic. I imagine it is due to the texture and they slide right through. I hope they help you feel better and give your body what it needs. -
Anybody read his books on dating?

Feeling Kinda Hopeless!
GibbsGirl replied to lovealways343's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's so hard. We all have been there or going there. The idea is practice and of course improving your health for surgery. You know about shrinking your liver for safety and all the justifications. We all fall of the wagon, I had thoughts of I will never have this again. That is so not true, I may never have that amount again or may not want it again. Don't beat yourself up, just do better. Be able to identify what is triggering you, nerves are normal. Head up, march forward!!! Counseling is never a bad idea even just a few visits to work through your nerves. -

One of the boys brought in Thin mints last night, I just stared at him. I threw them in the freezer behind everything, that's our favorite way to eat them. I refrained and they are gone, I also told him he was grounded. I have a sign on my door telling solicitors we know who we are voting for, we have religion, it goes on to say unless your selling thin mints not to knock. I'm afraid those trailers would not be safe.
