    Preganacy After Gastric Sleeve Surgery

I was about 7mos post op, when I learned of my pregnancy. I'm now in my second trimester, I have not gained a pound. Baby is healthy. Prior to weight-loss surgery my hormones, thyroid and PCOS was all out of wack. Since dropping over 70lbs everything went back to normal, and so did my fertility. PCOS and Weight Loss

Luckily I'm not back on medication yet. It took about 6mos. This is tmi...but there were months when my partner and I were having crazy amounts of bedroom fun (even before and on ovulation day) and my period came as scheduled. I gave up...I started to think my lady parts weren't working!!!...lol. Then out of nowhere I was pregnant about the 6th month. I just say give it some more time. I know that can be frustrating to hear. But at least a solid 6-12 months. As that's how long it usually takes some couples. Have fun in the process!!!...lol. PCOS and Weight Loss

Congrats on your weight loss! I would not worry, especially being that you have having a menstrual/ovulating every month. 3-4 months is not a long time in regards to conceiving. I am at a weight loss of 75lbs, I have PCOS as well and my diabetes started to come back as well. And I just found out I'm 6wks pregnant (7mos post op). Wish you the best. @noellega1 I have tried the Vitamin patch with good results. However, if you have sensitive skin the patch may not be for you.

    Periods

I have pcos, my period was absent for 8 straight months prior to my surgery date. After surgery I am now every 28 days. Which is something I have never experienced until after surgery.
  6. Hey! Everyone has given you some great information. I will like to add, bring a cami shirt with a built-in bra. As one of the incisions are close to where an underwire bra will lay. The first night is the worse, so like many have already said...walk ASAP. And bring your own robe. Good luck!

    Vitamins...taste nasty please help

I keep vomiting after taking my Bari Vitamins. I strongly dislike them. I went back to my regular One-A-Day vitamins....only that I take a knife and cut the pill into 4 easy to swallow pieces. I'm 15 days out on my sleeve surgery. I make the Vitamin the same size as the Protonix my surgeon gave me post op. Update... I'm now trying a Vitamin patch that came in the mail today. It's from PatchMD.com. I hear great things about it and it's suppose to be very bariatric friendly.
