    Banded Yesterday!

I wasn't able to drink a shake until the fourth day. Push clear fluids. Peppermint tea is probably wonderful but drink apple juice or sports drinks so you can get some nourishment.
  2. I had Lap Band surgery on December 8th and have no doubt that I need someone to "mentor" me in this process. I am in South Arlington/Mansfield and am pretty flexible. Thank you.
  3. For some reason everything fell into place yesterday and I was able to drink 44oz of Water and suck on a popsicle and take my medicine and last night I actually slept on my stomach without waking up in pain (I have always been a stomach sleeper.) While I am thankful for this it has caused some hunger pangs but I will treat those with a Protein shake. I do have to agree with Jack about the "dragon" of eating. Even while I was not hungry at all I thought about eating all of the time. I wanted to eat something, anything, and I have that same feeling now. I can see the need for some drastic changes in my habits or I don't think I will be successful. For that reason I am happy that I waited until now to have the surgery. I first considered having band surgery 7 years ago when I was in my 30's and realize now that I don't think I had the mental mindset to follow through. I am hoping that I have the ability to stick with it. Now if i could just get the stupid incisions to stop itching.

Help! I am not enjoying this

I am learning that I spent a lot of time eating. A lot of time! I am bored stiff and don't know how to fill the time. Crazy.
  5. I had surgery on Tuesday and have had less than that. I feel so full that I am almost uncomfortable. This is not what I expected. I was able to drink more the day of surgery than I can now. Ugh. It may change but I am regretting this right now.
  6. I had surgery on Tuesday and have had nothing more than one cup of Jello the day of and 10 total ounces of Protein shake since then. I drink as often as I can but in small amounts. My problem is that I feel stuffed all of the time. Empty in the morning, drink some Water, stuff. No vomiting. No gagging. Just stuffed. Is this normal for the first week? While this change soon?
