  1. I got my date on Christmas Day! By far the biggest life changing gift I've ever gotten! It's scheduled, I'm in the books and my life is about to change for the better! Anyone else a few 2nd sleever? -amy
  2. I'm really not sure how I should feel about this, first week of my liquid diet my husband was amazing! Didn't flaunt or eat certain things in front of me as a form of support. Well, this week blows! He went grocery shopping and got tons of bags of candy, tummies, chocolate, and chips! Tons! Like 6 bags and even a bag of pork rinds. He said the boys and him are kinda like bachelors while I'm getting sleeved. tonight they are cooking tater tots and crispy fried chicken. I decided to stay in the other room until they are done so I don't drool! I haven't cheated at all, but if I see another boring shake or can of freakin cream Soup I'm going to scream! Anyone else share my pain?

    Unsupportive family?

hanks, he is a really great support to me, which I think is why this hurt so much. he feels really bad today. I don't think he realized that I have a food addiction I'm working on.

    February 2016 sleevers?

My doc said he does the bowl prep to reduce the size of your intestines since he will be messing around in there it helps with space, and if something were to happen there will not be fecal matter to increase infections.

    Unsupportive family?

Thanks Dub! You gave me a giggle this morning. I waited until the kids were sleeping and talked to him about it. I told him right now I'm like a crack head trying to kick it, and he filled the house with crack. He feels like scum for it now, and sadly he kinda should. It's like he's drinking a huge beer in front of an alcoholic when he cooks and eats what he does. I know it's going to always be around, food in huge quantities is kinda like the American way. I'm hoping it will be a little easier when I'm A off the liquid diet and B sleeved. My surgery is on Tuesday. Feb 2nd his nookie days are numbered! Ha ha ha ha

    Unsupportive family?

I mentioned it to him, as I am struggling to avoid these foods (they are all my favs!) and I told him it's just hard, I'm a few days from surgery, tired, scared, worried, etc. His answer:"just think about the good stuff like shopping for new undies at Victoria's Secret" Made the fact that I'm worried and nervous seem like it's not important because after the surgery I'll be able to wear pretty undies. Screw undies! I'm hungry and as much as I'm trying not to be a whiner, it's not fair!
  11. Day three and I'm doing ok in spurts and then I want food so bad! It's insane! I haven't cheated, I won't cheat but man! Anyone else share the pain?
  12. I went to my first local sleever support group last night, I thought it would be helpful to do a meet and greet and get with it. Talk to sleevers face to face and such. It was helpful. One thing they all said was when you wake up your going to wish you'd never done it. Not from pain but the mental side of it. You feel different and think you'll never be again the person you were. It was eye opening in the sense that right now I am thinking mostly of what I eat and my size etc not the mental side of me that I really want to spend some time thinking and trying to prepare more. This weekend I'm going to take pictures of myself, and my husband is going to help me so I can look back and not forget on those bad days how far I've come. Also going to write myself a letter, kind of a read me when your down letter with those reasons I started this journey and why it's worth getting up and fighting for it.
  13. Mine and most do it to shrink the liver to aid in the process of lifting the liver during the surgery to get to the stomach better. I know from past health issues I have a fatty liver so as much as I complain I'm glad to be doing this, it's my detox. That being said each surgeon is different some don't see a difference in the time on the liquid diet, some do. I know the day before surgery I go from liquids to just clear liquids and then have to do my bowel prep. Which is the cherry on this hell cupcake! Ha ha ha
  14. Thanks! I hate buying stuff and not liking it. It's a waste!
  15. I'm doing better everyday! Boy! Good test on if you want this or not!
  16. Anyone tried syntax twisted cherry? Sounds good but haven't tried it. I do like protidiet tropical fruit, peach mango isn't bad either. Kiwi melon tastes like bubble bath, or cucumber melon body spray, mixed berry is eh....
  17. And the frosting on the cake is three days of this liquid hell and my blood pressure meds start working to good! Lord help me my blood pressure dropped big time! Called doc praying he was going to say "Amy, what you need is a turkey sandwich and some Doritos! sTAT!" Instead he said stop taking them, if it gets to low go to the ER.... Dang it! Was really hoping for that sandwich! I have lost 7lbs in three days tho! Silver lining!
  18. I'm little engine that coulding it for sure! Thanks!
  19. Congrats! How exciting! It will be here before you know it! Best of luck!

Thanks all for the well wishes! Getting butterflies! I'm so very ready for this!
  23. I'm excited! I decided since my pre op diet starts Han 19th and I've really never had a Protein shake before I thought I'd best try one! Ha! Also decided I'd best really give my pre op pre op diet a shot. Today I did a Protein Shake for Breakfast, I bought bodylogix women's protein it has 100 cal. 20g protein 5g Fiber and no fat. I added some jif chocolate Peanut Butter powder with 2% milk. It was a ruff morning getting it down. Added ice, and vanilla extract. I got it down but wow..... Had 1/2 cup cottage cheese and chicken broth for lunch and for dinner did a cup of brown rice cooked in beef broth and fresh mushrooms, a lean pork chop and a cup of corn. It was a tough day... Running back and fourth to the bathroom ALOT but I'm in this for the long hall.. Took a few sips of a premade Premier Protein chocolate shake and totally drinking that tomorrow! Wow! Anyone else getting your game face on?!
  24. Any February 2nd sleevers? Could use a friend!

    Liquid Diet Diarrhea

Thank you thank you thank you for posting this! Howard one stinkin shake, my first ever and I'm now combing the Internet to make sure I'm ok! Goodness! Can't wait till the day before surgery bowl prep! How on earth is anything else left inside?! That said my liquid diet starts on the 19th, in nine days from now but I think I'm going to do at least one to two shakes a day to get ready for it.
