  1. Can I just vent and say I am tired of people telling me how much weight I do or do not need to lose. How are you handling people telling you that you need to stop losing or that you're too thin? I am between five two and five three and still weigh 142.... This still puts me in the overweight catagory. My Drs don't seem worried but friends and family have all sorts of opinions

  2. I had the same issue....but now 4 months post op---I have totally cleared my entire closet out---I lost 40 pre op and could still wear many of my same clothes for the longest time. It will happen I promise! I do think that there is less difference between regular sized clothes-- I can wear a variety of sizes right now b/c there isn't a huge size difference in them. Today I'm wearing a size 16 jean (granted they are baggy--but I also can button my 7th graders size 10 aeropostal jeans too.

  3. I'm not at goal yet, but doc said he would be happy with me staying at this weight---158. I want to get to at least 144 which will put me at a healthy bmi....but in all honesty would love to see what 125 looks like. I had surgery in November 2016, so only 4 months out from surgery ---but have been losing since July 2015.

  4. I love non-scale victories!!!!

I've had to adjust my seat in the car because being smaller, everything is farther away. I don't have to lean to my left to buckle the seat belt.

I've had to donate a large garbage bag of clothes already, they just fall off and look comical on me.

I was able to buy regular boots, not wide calf. I'm loving this!!!!

I can't WAIT to get rid of my old clothes and start new!

I just did that! My closet....it is empty...I haven't met goal yet though....so I don't want to buy much because I still have 30 to 40 lbs to go.

  5. I'm only 3 months out, but down 80 lbs...down well past my 1/2 way mark. I'm 38, and where I notice the loose skin mostly is my lower stomach----but honestly I have had a fat roll there since I was a kid and have had 3 kiddos....so I guess that is expected. I see a little under my arm, and a little on my legs....but my stomach is the only place that really bugs me now.

  6. I teach...have taught for a ton of years and normally have a great immune system. I had surgery mid- November and now in January I feel like my immune system is just run down--I had strep 2 weeks ago with a viral infection and now I'm feeling sick again with the same type symptoms. Anyone know if surgery can knock your immune system down?

    Thanks

  7. Lol I had the same thing happen to me and then I found out I was 6 weeks pregnant. But it can also be your blood pressure

I would die....DIE! I do have a tendancy to get preggo when I get down to about 180 (168 now) 2 forms of protection for us--tmi? but I would die if got pregnant now lol!

  8. Hi! I am 4 months post op and I experience dizziness every time I stand up. I feel like I am going to black out. I just have to stand there for a minute before I proceed walking. I am trying to get as much Water in as possible but it is hard. Anyone else going through this?

Yes--dr said it is just getting up to quickly and our bodies haven't adjusted...I still have it...actually blacked out once. I do know that my bp is good, but on the low side now. I'm going to ask again next week when I go in for my 3 month check.

  9. The thing is...you do have to eat healthy, workout, etc.....this is not the easy way out....it is still a lot of work to maintain this lifestyle. I have worked my a** off for every pound I have lost in the last 6 months...I don't see why everyone thinks this is the easy way to do it, b/c it certainly is not.

  10. I loved having my own pjs to walk around in at the hospital...also bought some comfy slipper boot things that I used to walk around in. Chapstick was a biggie for me--i forgot it :-( I bought extra pillows for at home was glad I did.....didn't need my gas x strips.I wish early on I had kept track of my weight in a journal and taken more pics before/during the process.

  11. My repair was a surprise....coming out of surgery I was in a ton of pain and I think it was mostly due to hernia. Also had spasms for 2-3 weeks post op and had to take extra meds and had to get extra hydration at drs office once b/c of dehydration issues b/c it hurt so bad to drink anything. I found warm fluids helped....also G2 went down easily. I thought I was never going to feel better....but it all got better...just took time

  12. I am 2 months out and have lost down to what the drs one year goal for me....I am at what the dr said the sleeve alone would do. I started dieting and working out the day that I started seeing the dr... I still workout and am eating the way I am supposed to. I hope to far surpass the 60% goal and dr said it was possible with me working at it.
