Ughh - hair loss is very real. My hairline is noticeably thinner. I've been losing hair constantly for the past 3 weeks (exactly 3 months post-up). Today was the first day I dyed my hair since the hair loss started and everytime I went to squeeze water out of my hair, more hair kept sliding out. I know it's temporary but it's still scary!

I use the phytocane revitalizing serum. On the box it says it's for hair loss due to stress, diet, fatigue, pregnancy.
It's really lovely and kind of glamorous to use. It comes as 12 amber glass ampules, you crack the top off, stick on the plastic applicator and massage the serum directly onto your scalp after a shower. I love the scent and it leaves my hair really soft and volumized. It's expensive but I found it to be quite effective. I personally didn't take biotin post op because I had tried it years ago and ended up growing some unwanted body hair.

I'm almost a year post op and I suffered from heavy hair loss from about months 3-6. It did eventually stop. I really recommend a topical treatment called phytocane. They sell it on amazon and at sephora. I started using it at 3 months post op and even as I was shedding hair I could see the new growth popping up. Now I have little short hairs at the top of my head! But they have filled in my hairline and it looks way better now than I was looking a few months ago. The hair loss will stop! Have faith.

Blood Pressure 101 over 64. Considering I started this because my blood pressure was high and they wanted to put me on meds, that number is great.

8 mos post op now... 20lbs left to go. Really more like 15 but I'm ready to finally let go of this weight I've been holding onto. Idk why. I guess I just like myself where I am.

I just booked a trip tonight to the South of France in July for my daughter and I...her birthdays present, my present to me for hitting goal. We both win on this one, and I finally get to travel to France with someone who actually speaks the language! Most important is the mom-daughter time before she leaves for college the next year.

Every week I log my weight and document a reward... I didnt' log a reward for the last 2 weeks although I was treated to non food rewards such as a day at the spa and a family trip to the amusement park where I was able to ride every damn thing!! Anyways I was thinking of my reward for this week and I don't think this was so much a reward as it was a NSV but I was finally able to fit into those Kenneth Cole Jeans that I told myself although their a 12, I need to be about a 8 to get in them! I'm in them!!! *Biggest smile*

I just ordered a pair of Tieks Ballet flats. Anyone tried these? I am excited, they look so darn cute and comfy.

Ahh, beef jerky. Good protein source (if a little sodium-heavy) and more importantly, I have to chew, chew, chew...

was on the road for a week and came back to another nice little drop. had more carbs than usual by way of veggies and fruit while i was OOT so maybe there is something to the carb cycle theories. dropped another 3 inches in my waist this month for a total of 11 inches since surgery. My butt is miserably flat but I can work on that!

I missed the spam I guess! Thanks for the workout @OutsideMatchInside I'll check it out and give it a go. I keep telling myself to just lose lose lose as much as I can post-op and then I have the rest of my life to shape my body.
Have to keep things in perspective.

I'm really close to Onderland. Not sure how long I am going to hold at 200. I want to hit 198 by a certain date and I have plenty of time, but now I just want it to happen.

I've decided on a new highly specific NSV goal after attending a concert last nite: would like to be small enough that a man lets me sit on his shoulders at a show. Just for one song! Maybe the slow song. Highly specific. But it's going to happen one day.

@Dub did anyone ride your shoulders??

Life is being lived!!!! Finding myself off line more and more because of it. Finding a purpose for yourself ( not talking about raising a family, etc) is not only enlightening, but exhilarating! Would love nothing more than to scream it from the rooftops.

I'll be 4 months post-op this week. Down 50 lbs, loads of inches, several sizes. I've been too busy celebrating my victories to notice I "only" dropped 4 lbs this past month. Proud of myself for not getting frustrated and focusing on the gains, not the scale! Working the program and its working for me. A little anxious that some say the honeymoon period only lasts 6 months and I'm closing in on that. I hope I have the strength to maintain my new habits as things get harder, as quite frankly this has been so easy for me so far. Ahhh so many changes! But life is good! Thanks BP for providing a place to vent and teaching me so much.

My beloved cubs are in the World Series, I am almost under 200 pounds and I don't wear the largest size in regular sizes. Things I never thought would happen, but they feel so amazing. What a joyous year this has been.

Your challenge this weekend Higher.... If you choose to except it..... While your at a local bar/pub, spot a man you find attractive, buy him a drink and send it over. If nothing, your only out a beer.

So i had another date last night... Different man. It was great, his wife passed a year ago and i was his first "real" date. He was so nervous he rambled. Super nice and a great smile great shape. Retired Army Lieutenant

Dear Calves... PLEASE shrink already! I was so looking forward to wearing boots this year.

Onederland is finally here!!! 4 days past my expected date of arrival. This post looks far more excited than I actually am. It's more or less satisfying to be here now. I also feel like I can jump on the scale tomorrow and it will say 201.2. It's my sometimes scorpio pessimism that does not allow me to enjoy the fruits of my labor. For now-- I'm dabbin on em' B#@! Ugh I have the same problem. I used to always lose in my legs first, they were the last part of me to get fat! I lost 3 inches in each calf in the first month post-op and haven't lost any additional inches since. They each measure 15 inches just below the knee. Still can't get into any of my old boots.
