    Scared because I cheated

I had a hard time on the liquid diet too. I drank a lot of milk because i couldn't stomach the protein drinks. I wish I had know about some of the other protein waters and such at that stage. But it will get better.

    Pureed Food Help!

I did scrambled eggs and yogurt mainly. I also would eat refried beans although I had trouble the first time I ate them.

    Hair Loss

I started taking biotin hopefully that will help some. I'm just ready for it to slow down, I'm not used to having thin hair.
  4. I have to use the torani syrups in my protein shakes to be able to tolerate them. I can't taste the protein powder at all with it.
  5. I just switched to myplate. It tracks everything and if you have an iPhone it syncs with your Health app. Also have used baritastic. It does a summary for the day, month and lifetime of your protein, carbs, fat, etc.
  6. I could drink a lot after surgery. It took me awhile to where I felt full. But now I can eat a egg and be stuffed. Kinda goes by the day for me.

    Best Quest bar flavor

Cookies and cream, but smores is amazing if you microwave it for 10 or so seconds

Did anyone go to surgery alone.

My brother went with my mom and at the time he was 19, I was in high school or I would have gone with her. And then she came with me. I couldn't imagine being in the hospital alone mainly because i got bored and wanted to talk.

    Eating out

I've ordered kids items before with no issues. But I also have ordered full meals and just have had leftovers. Some meals are able to last me 2 or 3 days with leftovers.
  10. Surgery never has been a big deal to me, but my mom was nervous for me. She kept telling me it was serious surgery and if I was sure I wanted to do it. My mind was made up. My pain wasn't terrible after surgery. The first day was the worst. After that I was just ready to leave the hospital and get home.
  11. Due to my medical issues, my surgeon said bypass would be best. I was going to go with the sleeve before I met with him. I go for my 6 mo post op in January so hopefully my pouch is absorbing like it it is supposed to.

    Bad food cravings, any suggestions?

Check out bariatricfoodie.com. She has great recipes that are still in line with being healthy.
  13. Pre surgery I like unjury chocolate. I have tried it again post op. I use their unflavored in pudding a lot to add protein and I can't tell there's anything else in there.
  14. I had that problem with refried beans. So I had to cut them out. I think my problem was that I ate them too fast.
  15. I felt like I could eat a lot after my surgery, but I knew I shouldn't so I had to cut myself off. But, recently I have been starting to feel full after little meals. I was worried they actually didn't do the surgery because i was still hungry.

    Time off work - selfish?

I told my boss I was having surgery. Didn't specify what because it wasn't their business. Granted, they figured it out as I started to lose weight and noticed the things I was eating post op. I also did mine in a less busy time of year.
