  2. Are you on Clear Liquids or full liquids. I was on full liquids the next day after my surgery. In the hospital they gave me cream of wheat and milk for Breakfast and cream of chicken Soup, milk, and sugar free ice cream for desert ~Lily www.lapbandontherun.blogspot.com/
  3. My surgery was on 12/2 and at the beginning I wasn't hungry Now I'm getting hungry at night. I don't eat as much as I did before but being hungry at night is bothering me. I have my first appointment 12/29, will the fill take care of this? I am on soft foods working my way up to some solids, no issues except had a few bites of rice and got stuck in my throat. Getting my protein in, last week road my bike 5 miles 3 times a week but now it got cold.
  4. I've read that some people get shoulder pain when they eat too much. But I've started HS ing left shoulder pain twice when I was hungry. Not sure why I'm getting this shoulder pain
  5. You need to see your primary care doctor to make sure it's not diet relate. How's your blood pressure. Are you having any problems with shortness of breath?
  6. Add beans to your diet. They are higher in protein. I eat cream of wheat for breakfast
  7. I know I've had sleep apnea since college and I was thin. So I'm not expecting anything earth shattering changes with my Cpap. I just wish someone asked me about my sleep since I've had issues since the 80's. When I was having a procedure I had to be incubated since I stopped breathing and was told to be tested for sleep apnea

  9. My son was told he had it while on lithium. Then after he came from the lithium his thyroid is normal. He was always slim with an active metobolism.
  10. I gained 8 pounds after surgery. That's due to fluids, swelling ect.. Today I'm down 10 but still feel bloated
  11. I'm not able to complete on some days. I keep an eye on my protein
  12. Why bother having weight loss surgery with fried foods. That's setting you in to fail

  14. I can also eat sugar free pudding and jellos
  15. I have a week of full liquids then soft foods. They don't do puréed foods with the band I can have instant runny mashed potatoes on my full liquid diet
  16. I was hungrier the day I came home tom the hospital. One day post op. The next day less hungry as today. I have to drink my protein shake for lunch or I won't get it in yesterday I didn't get my protein shake in. Still on full liquids. Cream of wheat, cream soups, instant mashed potatoes before before bed. Drinking skim milk with each meal.
  17. How am I supposed to stretch out my Meals to 20 minutes when I'm on full liquids? Don't have to worry about constipation anymore. Drank my protein shake with PB powder for lunch cause I couldn't get it in yesterday so today I as low on protein. I'm making sure I'm eating higher full liquid proteins earlier in the day. Basically cream f wheat, drinking skim milk, my shake with PB protein with skim milk..just the shake protein is around 25 grams. Taking a long nap everyday. Walking around the house 3 times a day. Looking forward to soft foods I can chew. Stomach still feels sore and distended but getting better.
  18. Is strange since I'm full of air and all these liquids i feel full then my stomach growls. I can't get all these liquids in even worth the puddings ect...I'm gonna try not to take pain meds as i had an issue with constipation for a previous surgery. Lots of gas though. I took a 4v hour nap today
  19. On full liquid. Looks like I took in 1000 cal today. The hospital fed me breakfast and lunch. B. Cream of wheat, skim milk. L. Cream of chicken Soup, skim milk, sugar free ice cream then later spread out....snacks. I ate every 3 hours I guess sugar free pudding cup. Instant mashed potatoes. D. Cream of pea soup, skim milk. Protein shake with PB powder I feel like I'm full of liquid. Drank sugar free ice tea
  20. Home around 4. Used daily fit pal to log food. On full liquids. Got my protein in. I kinda feel full and hungry. My stomach feels firm. Passed gas no issues. Coughed a little so even though I felt hungry I'm assuming my stomach says I'm full. So I stopped eating. Took 2 pain pills. Feels like I did a million sit ups.
  21. Had my surgery yesterday. Feel pretty good. Go home later today clear liquid today. I am hungry. Had ice chips yesterday. They glued my incisions.
  22. Sorry its 4am had lap band yesterday. Didn't read you are working with a doctor please find a good counselor too. My counselor had me read some good books that helped me for depreddion and anxiety.
  23. Keep in mind the posts you are going to read are either from person who wants to be helpful and share info or those who have had bad experiences. I'm a RN so i may see the sickest folks of a certian condition but that is not the majority others can be living workout issues from their conditions. So those posting their bad stories are not the norm. Sorry my phone lines to type ate instead of are.
