Thank you so much for the replies. I'll look into the requirements of Texas. I would never do anything to jeopardize everything we have done and gone through to have children in our home as this has been my dream as we can't have children of our own. Again thank you everyone

Has anyone gone through this process and had surgery with foster children in there home? We just finished our process of becoming foster parents we don't have children of our own but will soon have children in our home. I'm wondering if the state would be ok if I proceed with the surgery? We are in Texas. If anyone has any information I would greatly appreciate it.

My pcp is closed till Monday. I'm trying to slowly get away from sweets and no more carbonated drinks. I'm not sure this is even an option for me with my insurance but I've been reading a lot and taking in a lot of great information (: hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving.

I don't mind sharing any of my experiences. But since the whole story is rather long (and likely boring), is there anything in particular you would like to know about? Thank you so much!! (: I have bcbstx insurance and the only thing they require is the psych evaluation. I have been referred to a surgeon but I'm waiting on a call back on an appointment date. How long did your process take before you had your surgery? I'm worried about the pre op diet because I am addicted to sweets. I'm glad to hear you are doing really good!
