    Filled? Discomfort? Satisfied?

I tend to get the hiccups and that is my sign that I've eaten enough. If I stop there I'm satisfied, but its a thin line... one or two more bites and I'm miserable.

    Omaha, Nebraska?

Just called the office. Dr. Cronk is there for the time being, but not taking new patients or doing surgery. She said for no he will continue to do his follow ups with patients but that they arent sure how long he will remain in the office. what in the world is going on!? Wonder where he is going??

    List of Q's for surgeon?

That's good to know. Unfortunate about the family emergency, that's usually never something good, but I'm glad to hear all the staff is still there. How's your journey going so far? What stage of the diet do they have you on? Lost a significant amount of weight? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I'm at 7 weeks post op now. There has been a significant spike in my happiness since getting on the "soft" food diet. I feel completely normal now. The weight loss has definitely slowed down, last week I only lost 1 pound.... but I have to be realistic that not every week is going to be an amazing week. I've made mistakes and need to work on eating slower, but I'm learning. Overall I have lost 44 pounds since July 22nd (5 days before surgery). My goal is 75 pounds by Christmas.

    Omaha, Nebraska?

I met with Ali the nurse practitioner yesterday for my 6 week appt. It appears that there was a family emergency or something of that nature which caused the cancellation and rescheduling of appointments. I confirmed (more than once) that Dr. Cronk and everyone else are still there, so there isn't some crazy office shake up going on.
  7. Got on the scale this morning... Only lost 1 pound this week. Found myself sad and frustrated... Then told myself to find a straw and suck it up, not every week will be great. Gotta keep pushing forward.

You can do it! You aren't going to lose a lot every week. As long as you're headed in the right direction.

Take your measurements. You won't lose weight all the time but most of the time when you don't lose weight, you lose inches

Better one pound lost than two pounds gained!! At least that's what I tell myself when I'm feeling pissy. <3

  8. Down 40 pounds since July 22nd. I'm happier, healthier, sex is better, I no longer snore, my clothes are falling off me... best decision ever. Now to crack down on my water intake because I sucked this weekend.

    Omaha, Nebraska?

weird. I'm set to have my 6 week follow up next week with Ali, and just got a voicemail from them that they needed to cancel due to "an unexpected schedule change". So I called back to try and schedule another appointment and they informed me that they are not rescheduling at this time, and they will give me a call back within the next few WEEKS with an update.... Sounds like there is a shakeup in the office or something...
  10. Hellooooo soft foods! I've been dreaming about you for weeks :-)

Enjoy, it keeps getting better. Think high quality stuff you could not afford before. I love buying 1/2 pound grass fed organic stuff at the butcher. That's a few meals to me.

I had that a lot with the band. I'm only 4 days post op after a revision to the sleeve. I hope I don't visit slimeland too often... And yeah, it's pretty gross. hehe

congrats! I'm on week 4 post surgery. Still experimenting with foods that won't bore me but it's so worth it. I just have to buy some more tiny Rubbermaid containers. LOL!

    Sleeping position

I slept on my back or right side. If I was on my side I would have a pillow pushed right up against my stomach to support it. I'm just now, at 4 weeks post op, able to sleep on my left side. The muscle around the biggest incision would hurt way too bad.
  14. was able to sleep on my left side pain free last night!!! My right hip is oh so thankful

  15. I had surgery on Wednesday and took the next week off. So 1.5 weeks total and was perfectly ready to be back.

    July 26ers

I make a point of only getting on the scale on Sundays! I get on the scale and then my husband takes all my measurements and I track it in an excel spreadsheet! Don't want to replace my bad food habit with a new habit of being obsessed with the scale!
  17. Today is a good day :-) I feel "normal"

  18. Went to Costco for first time since surgery. Came face to face with their amazing pizza. :( momentarily felt so sad and frustrated. But.... It will all be worth it in the end.

    1. Valentina

      Valentina

I've never come "face to face" with a pizza before. I never even knew a pizza that a face! (sorry, I couldn't resist. I'm weak). I guess the advice I would give is to "turn the other cheek". (sorry again) :)

  21. I'm getting a bad pain by the large incision every time I bend over. Like I'm squishing something in there and it's NOT happy. Hoping nothing serious.

    1. Valentina

      Valentina

I want to post, "If it hurts every time you bend over, then stop bending over". Bad joke, I know...

Seriously, if you have any pain that is concerning you enough to post here, pick up the phone and call your team. They are the ones that know what's going on with you and can ease your mind. Please post back and let us know how you're doing. Feel better, Friend. Sorry for the bad joke. I'm weak! :)

    Pills

I swallowed my pills the morning after surgery while still in hospital and have since with no issues.

    JP drains?

    No drain for me!

    Omaha, Nebraska?

I'm right there with you. I love Dr. Cronk, but the nutritionists were brusk, dismissive, and didn't listen to any of my concerns. I just had my 3 month follow up this morning and am FINALLY restriction free. So, don't expect to go back to normal eating until 3 months after surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I think I saw you! Tall man with reddish hair and beard? I got there at 9 am. Small world
