  1. Thank you Kathy for the encouraging words I need to hear. I am going to start tracking today!
  2. Hi sweet Nan Sounds like you are also having problems losing. the only advantage I have is that I can't consume as much volume so I have a o be diligent with the diet. Someone told me that they got back on track by going back to drinking three shakes a day and having one meal. I'll let you know how that works.
  3. Hi PaulBenn, I am 72 and am doing well. Stay on track and be encouraged that you will meet your goal. I live in Arizona and am walking before it gets too hot to be outdoors. I'm limited in my ability to excercise so I need to be careful with my diet. My biggest problem is maintaining motivation to cook daily for myself vs eating out. Is there anyone out there living alone with some tips on meal prep or a good recipe site?
  4. I am over 70 and had my surgery in November and am doing quite well: totally healed and no negative effects. I would recommend it to anyone who qualifies. Age should not be a deterrent. My weight loss has slowed down because I can not excercise. I now have to be mire diligent in maintaining my diet. Anyone else having problems losing?
  5. Hope all is well. I am 72, had surgery in November 2015 and have no regrets. I not losing as quickly a some because I am unable to excercise but I have lost a total of 45 lbs so far. Good luck and stay encouraged!!!
  6. Hi Seniors, I am almost two weeks post surgery and have not lost a pound. I've been faithful to the diet and am constantly hungry but all else is fine. Has anyone else had a slow start to weight loss or are my expectations off?
  7. Dear over 70, I too am over 70 and have been searching for seniors for a while. I had my sleeve on Friday,27th the day after Thanksgiving. I've been thankful ever since. Everything went well and it is now Sunday and I am home. The most sin I experienced was from the gas. It is subsiding slowly Snd I am walking, sipping Snd crushing pills. I was kept in the hospital for two night because I was going to be home alone. Where do you live? I'm in Arizona. Hope to hear from you often. We can be sleeve buddies.
  8. Dear Jamie, I am Shirley and I thank you so much for your video. I am having my surgery the day after Thanksgiving: in 4 more days. I am excited and nervous because I am a senior and am concerned about complications. Several things about your video encouraged me. First, I admire that you are open and honest about yourself. We're all I this for much of the same reasons and it's great to have a platform so we can just be who we are. In addition, you were correct in going to the hospital. I too have concerns about clots. I recently had s stent pout in my leg so I have to be on alert. Your message told me not to second guess or delay. Third, I do appreciate your showing the incisions. I had no idea how large/small they would be. Thank you, thank you brave girl. I hope to be hearing from you from time to time. I need someone like you to keep me encouraged as I will be going home alone. I wish you well in your journey and say a little prayer for me on Friday morning. Blessings

  12. I having surgery on the 27th, the day after thanksgiving. I'm a senior and am both excited and nervous. I'll be going to the the hospital and retuning home alone so please pray there will be no complications. I'm glad for this support venue and hope to hear from many. I did not want to inform anyone except my family who are all out of state so I will be leaning on you for support.
