Hola everyone. I am 2weeks 1day post op. I started looks yesterday & I had one soft scrambled eggs today. I made it w/ milk & nice & fluffy. But I noticed that they are uncomfortable going down. Is this always going to be the case? Is there something else I can add besides milk to help it go down?

i didn't think I could chew eggs 32x but apparently you can lol. I chewed & chewed & chewed but nothing. I'll try 45x next time thank you!

No it's scrambled only for 2 weeks, I added milk to make it runny but maybe I have to add more

Hello everyone!! I was sleeved on 11/30 & I also have gastritis. I'm only 5 days post-op but the smell of food is killing me!! Not so much that I'm hungry but it makes my mouth water & that builds gastric juices & oh it burns!! Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions?? I try to just hide in the other room but I have the sense of smell of a pregnant woman every day of my life!! Super sensitive sense of smell ????

everyone is different, I was sleeved Monday & by Thursday I was cooking for my family. Saturday & Sunday I went out Christmas shopping for a few hours. You can't drive till your doctor clears you, which is usually your post-op visit about a week later or so. -

I did not have gastritis but the sense of smell will go away soon. I know I wanted to crawl into our microwave when my husband cooked something. As soon as I got off the clear liquid diet it got better. Now I don't even notice since I can eat. Good Luck!thank you so much! -
Same here! I was sleeved 11/30 & the last 2 days I started to tolerate the liquids more but it's constant growling & moving. At times when I sip something I have to take it slow because the pain starts. It will get easier I promise!

welcome! I am not allowed to have anything but clear liquids for 2 weeks but I seem to be healing pretty quickly so we'll see how that goes lol. Have you tried gas-x strips? They have helped me, but the best thing is really to walk around! I've been cooking for my family since yesterday just so I can move around. Good luck!

Standard is one unless you have complications of you can't handle the fluids. I couldn't handle the required amount of 4oz an hour, so they bargained w: me to stay another night. Trust me you might need it, even if it's just to sleep & recover!!

Jealous for all that can do the 4oz an hour! Lol I can't handle the fullness because of all this damn gas!! Stayed an extra night & I miss the dilauden but taking Tylenol in the day & Percocet at night just to sleep. Not much pain really... More gas & fullness for me!!!

Hello everyone! I am scheduled for Monday, 11/30 for surgery. How long has everyone stayed overnight in the hospital? Everyone says 1 day unless something happens but my friend went in & they told her mandatory 3 days!! Not looking forward to that since I have a 14 month old!

I had a c-section too & 14 months ago, I am hoping that it is my saving grace come this surgery. Because I was completely fine after! Welcome my fellow 11/30 sleevers!!! So glad we can help one another come Monday!! I am confirmed for 8:30am!!

Oh thank god I have hope! Lol. I am pretty sure that medical history has a lot to do w/it. My friend has a long list & I just have a c-section, but she said they told her the moment she checked in it was 3days. Hoping its 1! Thank you all! -
I'm scheduled for 11/30 but I don't have a pre-op 1 month or 2 week diet. I just have to stop all carbs 2 days before, then all liquids the day before... Anyone else have this?

They also say it has to do w/ reducing the amount of visceral fat around the organs but who knows at this point.
