  1. I hate the scale, I only weigh once a week! The scale seems to be my enemy
  2. @@bellabloom what part of California? I'm in Northern California
  3. @VSGAnn, Maybe I needed to hear your thoughts, sometimes I just want the weight to fall off, and I have myself thinking if I dont eat and drink it will come off faster, very wrong Oh BTW my surgery was 10/29/15 - weight 245lbs today I weighed 219, yes I should be Thankful Sometimes it just helps to vent and hear others thoughts
  4. @@bellabloom, I must admit I'm not tracking calories. I also believe I'm not getting enough fluids or protein. I am 4 weeks out and only have lost 25lbs. I was given the ok to eat regular food. Nothing really even looks appealing and then why I try to eat, its only a few bites and I feel like its either stuck or I'm so full. I'm sick. . . . I have only been able to keep 100 calorie cottage cheese fruit cups down or instant breakfast. At first I was really happy with the surgery and now lots of regret. Not eating and having lost not much weight, its really starting to bum me out
  5. I had my surgery 10/29/15 and went home the next day. My surgeon wanted me to stay and extra night, but because I was doing so well let me go early. It really depends on you the patient and your surgeon. My suggestion, is do what makes you comfortable. Have a plan!
  6. I have tried to increase my water intake and very little carbs for me
  7. Went to my PCP and my BP was low causing the dizziness, she took 1 away, 4 weeks after surgery!! I'm a HAPPY girl
  8. Weird, I'm almost 4 weeks out and having dizziness too! I'm going to see my PCP tommorrow, maybe I need a change in BP meds. Yep, I'm at a "stall" too, they suck!
  9. Thinking you should call your surgeon. I dont think a fast heart rate is normal.
  10. I hate the "stalls", sometimes it make me think I did this for nothing! Then I take a more postive approach - easy to put the weight, much harder to take off! Slow and Steady wins the race. VSG done 10/29/15 -surgery weight 245 lbs today's weight 223 lbs
  11. Hello, Have you ever thought of Bio Identials?
  12. My PCP recommended get a flu shot, two weeks before my surgery.
  13. So glad, I ran into this.... I had VGS on 10/29/15. I'm down 17lbs and felt like I wasnt losing fast enough.
  14. OMG, I had such terrible gas pain after my VGS on 10/29/15. I took no narotics in the hospital or out. I walked and took lots of Gas X. I also realized all the things they tell you to drink are sugar free. My body had a really hard time with the sugar alcohols. Once I stopped, the pain improved. Just in case someone else is struggling
  15. @megnj Thank You for the advice. I'm going to put the scale away today and only weigh once a week ( ok maybe twice). This just all seems a little overwhelming to me! One of my friends at work had surgery a year ago and lsot 60 lbs in 6 weeks... So of course that is now stuck in my head . I do need to remember we all are different! Can I ask how long you were on liquids? I have been on clear x 1 week, now full x 1week. My dr said I could go to pureed and soft foods next week. I thick I may stick with fulls. I hardly get any liquid in, I do get in one premade Protein shake and 1/2 cup creamed Soup. Any tips or tricks?
  16. Hi! I am very new to this, had my surgery 10/29/15 - VGS! This all seems so confusing, any advise would help. Surgey with well, no complcations, no pain meds in hospital or out! Starting weight 245 down to 229, I feel like I have an obsesion with the scale! Overwhelmed and Frustated
  17. I agree, I am 2 weeks post today and have only lost 14 lbs. I feel like I'm eating and drinking nothing an that maybe the problem. Then I hear about "stalls"! This all seems so overwhelming to me. I feel like when I do it, I overeat, mind you 1/2 cup thick liquid. Ugh was VGS right for me?
  18. I'm two weeks post LVS and have only lost 10lbs, should I be concerned?
