  1. While I wish you didn't all have to be in this discussion for these reasons, it's nice to know I'm not alone. Elizabeth, I've been there as well. Hopefully the new year will bring good news and health for all of us.
  2. Hello! I had my gastric sleeve done on July 15 of this year and I AM NOT planning on waiting the 1-2 years to start trying again. We require fertility intervention to get pregnant (hoping not as much since I've lost 65lbs so far) but we've already started trying. My fertility doctor is one of the best in his field and has cleared me to move forward. I have one son luckily who took a year to conceive but I want more. Are there any newly thinner mommies that are moving forward with TTC dreams? Any luck so far, experiences, things that have helped?? I would love to create some connections here to support my weight loss and baby creation journeys.
  3. I'm a fertility patient trying to get pregnant again and I'm only 3 months after surgery. As long as you're eating balanced meals, exercising safely and staying in contact with your Doctor the sleeve shouldn't pose too many issues because the sleeve does not cause malabsorption. Work with a nutritionist for a while if you need to.
  4. I had my surgery on July 15th of this year so that I could have more babies. I was lucky enough to get pregnant and have my son, but we tried for a year before that and we had a loss at the beginning of this year. I AM NOT waiting the two years to try again as we've already started trying with CNY Fertility in NY just three months in. I'm down 65 pounds and my fertility doc doesn't have a problem with it. I hate going through fertility challenges and I'm glad you asked this question. I've heard that weight loss is the key and it is worth hoping for.
