  1. I’m glad to be back in here too. My vsg was on 5/25/2016. I got pregnant and had my daughter 8/14/17. I love my baby but it really messed up my sleeve and as of a couple weeks ago I’m almost back to my surgery weight. I went back to basics and have lost down to 189. (I was 200 on surgery day). Who couldn’t use the prayer of brothers and sisters in Christ!

  2. So my baby will be delivered on Monday via csec due to things that don't have anything to do with my sleeve. My question is, what will they use for pain control since we can't have nsaids (ibuprofen type meds)? Usually they have you on strong meds for a week then put you on ibuprofen. Anyone have experience?

  3. I'm 43. 7 months post-op. I'm prolife, which I discussed with my surgeon, so I won't use anything that's back-up abortive (birth control pills, iud). We were using condoms despite the fact that they cause me irritation. Also, 3 years ago one of my twin sons died at birth and since then my cycles have been outrageous. I use depends diapers and stay on the couch for about 3 days a month, then have a mild period again in two weeks. So, my prolife dr told me that it is safe to be pg after sleeve. That we are way more health conscious than a teen and there are ways to help nutrition such as what they do for ppl with hyperemesis gravida (excessive vomiting during pregnancy). So we stopped with the condoms and I just found out I'm pregnant. I'm not too worried about baby because I know they will monitor me. I am worried about calling my surgeon and being treated like like a naughty teenager. Any advice? Did they do that to you?

  4. Just got word today that I'm the 25 th too! This is day 7 of my 2 week diet. I'm ready for this part to be over for sure! Do either of you have small children? I am a stay at home mom with no babysitter options. Not sure how I'm going to keep my 2 year old off of me when I get home?

  5. Oh my stars! After crazy ins messes and a nurse strike they are changing my surgery date to this Wednesday! I'm so excited! It seems unreal and there are so many details to work out. Like my hubby finding work coverage since he needs to be with the kids. But I trust all of that to God and I just can't wait for the beginning!

  6. I am on day 2. Feeding the kids and smelling their yummy food is the hardest. I have a peach of a hubby who did all the work and let me be away from them but still it was hard. Also hard that i need to do this in case of an ins change again meaning that my surgeon will do it before the end of May...or I have to do this again in June for a scheduled vsg June 30th. I'm very thankful for my ins and hope it doesn't change again.

  7. Loving it! The house we are renting is HUGE. An old house with lots of built ins. We lost both my Mom and one of our twin sons two years ago and so to be in a new place is an amazing change. It's brought on some unexpected grief too (I didn't expect to feel like I was leaving my Mom behind and I guess that triggered a rogue grief wave for Simon too). We were 7 hours from the hospital I was to have the surgery at (abbott Northwestern in MInneapolis) now I'm only an hour and a half away! How are you doing? You are at maintenance?

  8. Sorry, we moved to a new city so I got behind on a lot of social stuff. My ins. Got all messed up in January so after a lot of changes I have to see a new nut at least once but the surgeon was all for me being scheduled! He told me I was his dream patient of the day. We''ve been through some crazy stuff the past few years but God is always showing me how faithful He is. "Oh, how I love Jesus"[emoji444]
