    Calling all February 1st Sleevers!

Ah! 3:45! I would be so anxious too! Mine is at 9:30 am with a check-in time of 7:30 am. Any later than that and I think I would go crazy! good luck!

    So sad

I swear people act like we get wheeled into recovery 100lbs lighter after these surgeries! Sheesh! Tell him it's hard and you'd like his support not stress.

    Struggling with forgiveness horse related

Because what she did was messed up, that's why. I don't have any positive suggestions - I'm the type who strongly believes "show me who you are and I'll believe you" and in this case she has shown you who she is. You let her ride so long and facilitated her riding free of charge and when you need her to help you out for a little while she can't but turns around and does that...in my book she would be cut off. Reduced to a hi and bye friend. I am sorry you have to deal with this as you seem like a sweet person. I hope you find resolve.

    Calling all February 1st Sleevers!

Hi everyone!!!! I'm on 2/1. I'm 5ft 6in and my weight stats are SW 286, CW 276, GW160. My doctor only requires clears starting tomorrow till midnight so I'll start that then but today I'm on a self-imposed liquid diet. I'm drinking pure protein, broth and water. I'm so excited! Good luck everyone!

    Insurance Tricare?

It's probably the surgeons requirement. Also a lot of other health plans require 6 months so they might just be saying it as default. I posted the word for word letter I received from Tricare where they stated that there was no set duration required. I didn't have one. I started my process in December and my surgery is 2/1. Literally 4 days from now. I had done a liquid diet in the past (2013) for almost 5 months and they accepted that.

    Insurance Tricare?

I got mine in two days. Well it was submitted on a Monday at around 3pm and approved on Wednesday at 9:49 am. I know because I called at 7:45 am and it was still pending. But I got impatient and called again lol. Good luck!!!!

    ...just got real!

Thank you!!! I hope they get back to you before Friday! I know how hard it is to wait!!! And you're right DAYS!!!! Lol!!! Like I'm literally saying "today's my last Tuesday, today's my last Wednesday" each day lol! I cannot believe it is here and it feels so surreal. I have a list to pack my bag and I was just dropping things in and checking things off and it felt like I was just on auto pilot like I couldn't believe it was about to happen yet nothing could stop me. Good luck with your surgery too and I hope they don't take all the way up until Friday to call back!

    ...just got real!

That's exactly how I feel!!! I've read and read and changed so many habits and prepared and done everything! I've been so confident and sure of everything - but now it's like crap I'm really doing this. There's no way I'll back out its just like whoa! thanks for all the supportive words!!!

    ...just got real!

I think I will actually go get a mani and pedi. I had heard about no nail polish but they didn't mention it during the phone call but thanks for explaining why they do that. Makes total sense! I will not get polish! That's so awesome!!! Good luck and I hope you have a quick and uneventful surgery! Thanks! I will! I'm thinking mani pedi and movies later. This is so exciting!!!
  12. Yep, same here. No pre-op diet, just clears the day before and nothing after midnight the day of.

    ...just got real!

Aw!!! Thanks Dawn!!!! You're so sweet!!! And you're right - best $18 ever lol! She said I could pay it when I got there but I was like nope, I'll do it right now!!! before they change their minds haha!

    Bowel prep not working

My surgeon only requires 1 oz milk of magnesia at 4pm the day before. I'm voluntarily taking magnesium citrate on Friday though.

    Sodas

I was so disloyal. I regularly drank Coke Zero, Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi, diet dr.pepper daily - I was addicted to the bubbles. But I quit cold turkey. I stopped buying them the day after my consult in December. My surgery is on Monday and I still haven't had one. Everyone's stories about the unpleasantness afterwards is motivation not to be tempted to revisit that bad habit.

    February 2016 sleevers?

Ok, I'm definitely having broth tonight!!! Who knew me and my sweet tooth would be so OVER dessert-y shakes? I'm on the Optifast meal replacements and they're not that bad at all! I just can't anymore. I am only on day two of twelve and had a cup of broth today and I agree it was amazing!!! My NUT told me I could strain a can of chicken noodle soup or beef and vegetable soup if I wanted more flavor. There is definitely more broth in my future! I had my broth about an hour ago and I'm still satisfied. It was sooooo good!!!! I think if I drained chicken noodle I'd be tempted to eat the noodles lol!!! But that sounds really good! After surgery and my two weeks of liquids, I think I will actually make more soups when I make dinner for the family so that I can have that as an option.

    February 2016 sleevers?

6 days left of it for me. At this point I'm in the zone. Full liquids. Protein shakes. Might try broth tonight. I've been too lazy to switch it up.

Anyone else with a Feb 1st date?

So far so good! It's very, very accurate!

    February 2016 sleevers?

@@prettyCali916 Same here, I didn't break the 200's until 2011 or 2012. You only have to do clear the day before?? You are lucky, I was put on two week liquid pre op diet with the last three days before surgery clear liquids only. Let's get this done, one week to go!!! Yep! Clear fluids on Sunday. He said to start Prilosec otc today for a week and then continue two weeks post op. He also said to take 1oz milk of magnesia at 4pm the day before. And I think that's it. No Advil etc. By this time next week I'll be sleeved!!!!!!!!!!!

    February 2016 sleevers?

Same here. Granted I've just hit the 200's since 2011. I feel exactly the same. I'm so glad I've scheduled and I'm so glad it's about to happen. I'm prepared. I'm equipped with the right tools and support system for success. This week needs to hurry up!!!! Fun fact: this is my last Sunday with this much actual food in me for a long time. I'm 100% liquids tomorrow - and next Sunday I have to be on Clear Liquids all day before my surgery!

Anyone else with a Feb 1st date?

I know!!! I knew he was on board with the surgery and everything but this was more than I expected. I would have never bought it lol - and he heard me telling my dietician about how I was concerned about tracking my fluid intake, and he gave it to me today.

Anyone else with a Feb 1st date?

My husband just surprised me with this new Water bottle!!!! He said he wants me to be prepared and get all my water in!!! He's so sweet! It tracks water and syncs with my Fitbit!

Anyone else with a Feb 1st date?

Wow - they'll postpone? Mine gave paperwork that said you have to lose and we will check before we schedule. They didn't check. I haven't gained - I've lost like 7; not checking again until day of. But that's so drastic to postpone! Good luck! Why don't you just start early? Might as well lol! That's what they said and they said in the seminar that they have had to enforce it before. Could have been a scare tactic to keep people from going on a binge up until the day before surgery. I was going to just start my liquids now but I have job interviews this week and I don't want to go in them hungry and irritated and lightheaded. I'm known to get "hangry". Ha! The last one is Wednesday after the my appt with the nurse and I will start the diet Thursday. Lol! I know the feeling! I have a friend who gets hangry and literally says it so I stay away lol. Could be a scare tactic - but you're on the right track. Better safe than sorry on the diet - you'll probably drop quite a few on liquids so you'll be fine. Good luck on your interviews! I hope this week goes by really fast!
