Just wondering if anyone is experiencing the same thing. Approx one week each month I am totally exhausted. Feels like I could sleep all day. Blood work is fine and I'm taking my Vitamins as prescribed. I'm a male so no it isn't my period! Just wondering what others are experiencing. Thanks!

Had my surgery today at 1. Have walked around the unit. Have sucked on ice chips and sipped Water. Worst part is definitely the gas they se to inflate your stomach. Not severely painful, but uncomfortable. If it weren't for that I'd be golden. So glad I made this journey!

Still seems surreal. I've been waiting for this for years. I have lots of mixed emotions tonight. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. Reading everyone's stories have helped me so much. Good luck to everyone!

So I had to share with people who can relate. I was getting ready for work this morning and was able to wear a much smaller pair of jeans that I haven't been able to wear in years. I asked my 15 yr old daughter if I looked ok and she welled up in tears, hugged me, and told me how great I looked and how proud of me she is. Made me feel so good. ????

November 19th!

surgery went great my surgeon found I had a hernia but didn't repair it. He said if it bothers me 6 months to a year then I can get it repair. But very little pain just had nausea yesterday and last night. I'm already at home.

Am I the only one who thinks it's weird that a doctor is trolling this website looking for new patients and trying to drum up business? I'm pretty sure my doctor wouldn't do that because he's too busy actually working. Seems a little desperate to me. Just saying!!

I currently cook for my hubby and I eat my stuff . I am 3 months post op and still cannot have pork or beef yet .I have been eating egg beaters for Breakfast or protien oat meal then a P3 lunch then dinner sometimes triple zero yogurt or cottage cheese along with my 2 shakes ..I do wish I could eat what he is eating but I do my thing and forget about his food .. It is all in our mind that we will still have to control..

I haven't really posted anything but I have been reading like crazy. All the stories are inspiring. I really have no worries or anxiety about surgery. My anxiety is afterwards. I am divorced and have my kids 50% of the time. Just wondering how others are handling meals for a family immediately post op. Any insight is appreciated.

This is me at 6 months out! Im 151 at the moment. My goal is 135. Doc told me i have 6 more months of losing but will be less dramatic ofcourse ????
