As I sit here sipping on my iced green tea I look down and realize I am wearing a 6" heel like its second nature. I am all smiles. About to change into my workout gear and go hiking soon.
  2. My last thing I remember was talking to the anesthesiologist. The topic was boyfriends. I recall waking up to two voices a male and female trying to tell me that I had to take the BP med sublingually because my BP was too high and I remember saying " I'm cold I need blankets twice."than I went out again.
  3. @@Inner Surfer Girl thanks for sharing.
  4. I given up on cardio machines at the gym. I find them boring. My gym has several different options but I don't care for any. So before gym I go walking (minimum 3miles). After that I get on one of the machines for about ten minutes and then do either my upper or lower body whichever day it is.
  5. I love plain old water so does my tummy. I will sometimes drink chamomile tea. Never was a soda or flavored drink fan even before my surgery. But was a big fan of calorie laden dessert like coffee beverages. On rare occasions I may have a cup of java with cream and stevia( if I want it sweetened) post surgery. I still love a good chai. Not the coffee shop kind but a good Indian restaurant kind. That I don't need to sweeten because it gets too sweet. So that's my treat a cup once every month. I do keep a few bottles of Powerade or Gatorade in the refrigerator incase I get leg cramps due to strenuous exercise. Haven't had leg cramps post surgery. It's just a mental thing.
  6. Did you say yes?No... I didn't because there's a fireman pursuing me since before my surgery and if and when I decide to go out it will most likely be him first. It's a men in the uniform thing ???? in the meantime I will enjoy getting healthier and enjoy the side effects of looking sexier ???? Update: have started accepting invites for drinks now. First date of course was with the fireman. It was lovely and he has talked about a second date. Also, I had coffee date with another gentleman whom I find very attractive this week. Both these guys have known me since before my surgery. And I had a great time conversing and laughing with both.
  7. When men you have known for years start asking you out for dates. My latest two - the produce guy at the grocery store and my insurance guy. I have known both of these guys for several years.
  8. Besides all the health and exercise related changes I have decided to have a change in jobs. Between 3+HR daily commute and work( Bay Area traffic) I was away from home over 13+ hrs a day. That prevented me from having a more balanced lifestyle. Miss my work family but I think it's time I became more worried about my own health and well being and spend more time with my loved ones.
  9. Once I increased my workout and cardio I stay warmer longer and don't feel cold like before.
  10. When friends and family want to join you for workout sessions or walking because your weight loss is inspiring them to get healthier, too.
  11. When I go out with my family or roommate I'm not allowed to order anymore. Because they say I only eat three bites so I should just take it off their plate. And save my money. It's a hard concept to grasp mentally. Going to a restaurant and not ordering. But it makes sense. These people are aware of my surgery and are always accommodating me. I do pitch in with the tips at the end.
  12. When people say you look younger ???? When the owner of the restaurant ushers you to your table arm in arm????
  13. I treated myself to one for my 3 month surgiversary. It was divine as always only this time I felt I really deserved it. From now on it will be a monthly thing. Heck I'm not buying clothes or eating out. Gotta treat myself for all the hard work I put in. Four to five nights of night walking, four days at the gym and all those little weight sessions and squats I sneak in at home. Thinking about getting a trainer, too.
  14. Thanks @FrankiesGirl. My only obstacle would be presents from our four legged canine furbabies if the owner didn't take care of it.
  15. I have taken up night walking. I bundle up and off I go walking downtown. The street is lit up nice and people are walking in and out of restaurants and bars. I feel safe doing so alone. I park my car at the bottom by the Water. Walk up to the end of the street and walk back down. About three miles altogether. Would be lovely to have a walking companion for safety purposes so I could increase the distance but for now I can honestly say this beats staying in at night. Feels great.
  16. Slight shoulder discomfort after surgery. No pain at all. Only had nausea the first night. It was my first surgery ever.
  17. A cousins fiancé said "I hope you are saving up for skin removal or have already saved up". How was that any of her concern. Hmmm.
  18. I'm dreading wrinkles. One thing I always had going for me even at my HW was my younger looking face. I may even have slight rhytiphobia or full blown one. Post surgery I have amped up my skincare regimen. I am currently using and loving M- 61skin care line. And am hoping for good results.
  19. Protein shake or one soft boiled egg. And if I am going out to breakfast with friends or family I will have a cup of coffee with cream and order a scrambled egg which never gets finished.

My sis n BIL did a Star Wars themed tree. Wish I had taken a pic to post.
  21. Just had my first gherkin today. My tummy was doing happy dance after that. Never was a fan of pickles prior to surgery. Taste buds are changing after surgery.
  22. My feet have shrunk a whole shoe size. My work heels no longer fit. I will have to get a new shoe wardrobe in the very near future.
  23. Pork jerky is only meat my tummy accepts happily. Two months and one week post surgery. I didn't like shrimp pre surgery. And that's the other protein I can have without tummy tantrums besides soft boiled eggs.
