Do You Have a Personal Trainer?
HI DeeM! so Proud of u keep it up. I am finally feeling good about my workout and fitness level to consult my boyfriend ( former competitive bodybuilder and a personal trainer of over 2 decades) about working out. He has been extremely supportive of my healthy eating and has become my number one supporter. We do hikes and walks together but I'm embarrassed to have him watch me in the gym. So every week he gives me a new set of workouts I can incorporate or tips on improving on current routines. He always reminds me that with dedication and consistency and clean diet I can and will get the body I want. The man has more faith in me than I do me thinks. I have a long ways to go but I'm more hopeful now then ever.

Do You Have a Personal Trainer?
I'm always looking at all these trainers some certified and some not giving all this advice on social media. I'm not looking to hire but am curious to learn how people choose one.

How stop weighing myself daily has helped me
I just wanted to share my experience. I was a neurotic daily weigher for about 15 months post surgery. And this far out it's no more honeymoon. For the past two weeks I have not stepped on the scale. I feel much calmer and peaceful. I'm not obsessing about my numbers on scale hence I'm not getting upset as much and having negative thoughts about my WLS journey. These days I have amped my workouts and I can feel my muscles toning. And it motivates me to keep working out harder and eat right.

This little thang..
I workout hard to keep my booty. I'm not ready to let go. Today someone grabbed my butt ( not in a bad way) and complimented its shape size. Boobs are a whole other story Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Very weak after gym workout
I was getting winded walking up and down the stairs at home. After gym at even two to three months out or after walking about a mile I would have to take a nap. I brought up my lack of energy with my friend who is personal trainer and he advised I eat something before my workout. The options he gave was oatmeal ( which was a no no for me) a banana or an apple with Peanut Butter along with hydration . So I would eat half a small Granny Smith without the peel with natural peanut butter before and drink a Protein shake after and I started feeling a huge difference in my energy level post workout. My nutritionist was okay with this. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Breaking Up With My Scale
I have been that person that has to weigh daily. Now I'm trying to stop that. I know I'm eating according to my personalized plan from my nutritionist. I work out regularly . Inches are coming off. All I need to do is stop obsessing about the number on the scale. With that being said the scale will no longer be out in the open in the bathroom so I am not tempted to jump on it. So long scale. We will see each other once every two weeks. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Vsg & keto?
My nutritionist suggested I increase my fats. I looked into keto but my sleeved tummy doesn't care for bacon, which I used to love before surgery, or any other breakfast meats. And mentally I'm not ready to start ingesting foods high in fats. I do eat cheese and drink whole fairlife milk and unsalted nuts. I like butter but rarely eat it and on rare occasions have avocado (never was a fan) I would love to hear what foods you guys incorporate in your keto diets. Thanks in advance Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Pounds and Inches...
@@NCGURL Hi, my biggest loss in inches happens when I'm stalled. I do get a bit frustrated with the numbers on the scale like most. I use clothes to keep me on track during the stalls. staying with my nutrition and fitness plan is important. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Who Is Your Biggest Supporter In Your WL Journey?
Although I am doing this for myself and I started this all alone. By alone I mean I chose to be alone at the hospital. I chose to be alone post surgery. A handful of people were aware of my intentions to have surgery. But I chose to go through all my consultations, appointments and surgery alone. Even chose not accept rides to and from hospital with anyone. I don't feel alone anymore. I have a wonderful boyfriend who supports my health and fitness goals and encourages me with his positive vibes. He himself has been Mr. Fitness all his life. It's good to have someone who supports you without judgement. I am grateful our paths crossed and he has become an integral part of my journey. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Is This Thing Working?
This actually made me feel better. I'm within range of this chart. I always thought I was a slow loser in comparison to others who post. I am well aware I must not compare to anyone. A step at a time. Staying positive and am happy with how far I have come in 14 months. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
