I had dr. Ramon Rivera from tristate bariatrics in suffern ny. I only had to pay my co-pays, which was 20 dollars for the office visits, and my surgery was the beginning of the year so I didn't have to pay anything at the hospital. It was great.@@KristenLea91 - who was your surgeon and how much out of pocket did you have to pay?

I had surgery the same day. I'm down 26. I saw my doctor today and they said I am on track. I thought it'd be more as well. I've been in a stall for almost two weeks, for the weight on the scale. When I take my measurements I have still been losing.1/6
23 lbs
I feel like it should be more but as long as I keep losing it'll be ok.
Feel like I hit my first stall around Valentines Day and I'm still stuck. Didn't think it would happen this soon. Haven't been able to exercise with all the yucky weather. I'm sure that doesn't help.
Any suggestions on breaking a stall are most welcome and appreciated.

That's great! Even with the 6 month visits, it went so fast.
I feel great. I'm in the pureed stage. Surgery really didn't cause me any pain either. Unless I'm just a great healer. I am down 22 pounds since surgery, can defiantly feel the difference. I'm not regretting it at all

I believe it was my doctors requirements, to check if there is anything else (hernia) that would need to be fixed as well.

I have the same insurance. I had to have 6 months nut visit, upper GI, EGD and psych eval. No issues with getting approved for surgery. BMI was 42. They covered EVERYTHING. I only I had to pay my copay i was sleeved on 1/6/16.

Mines horrible. We named him Oscar; the lion in my tummy.
My surgeon said it's "waves" coming up from your small intestine during digesting/moving fluids through your body. He showed me it during my post op upper GI. It was pretty interesting to watch...and hear.

I tried milk of magnesia and it helped within hours.

I felt great when I got home after surgery, the only thing was my throat and all was still very swollen. I couldn't even sip sip sip on Water. I sent my fiance out for pedialyte, drink and popsicles, to keep me from dehydrating. The ice pops also helped the swelling. I wish I had them right when I got home. All I did was walk at the hospital, I didn't even them he touch half the stuff I brought

My surgery is Wednesday. Good luck! It hasn't hit me yet that it is so soon, it feels like the last couple of months have flown by. My surgeon doesn't require a pre op diet, but I am trying to replace as many meals this last week with Protein Shakes to get my body used to not physically eating. I've bought a lot of crystal light mix, diet snapple, fruit2o and Unjury chicken broth Protein for my all liquid after surgery though. Good luck again!!
