Anyone have Empire Plan NYSHIP -United healthcare ?
I had dr. Ramon Rivera from tristate bariatrics in suffern ny. I only had to pay my co-pays, which was 20 dollars for the office visits, and my surgery was the beginning of the year so I didn't have to pay anything at the hospital. It was great. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App

Dates & Weights
I had surgery the same day. I'm down 26. I saw my doctor today and they said I am on track. I thought it'd be more as well. I've been in a stall for almost two weeks, for the weight on the scale. When I take my measurements I have still been losing. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App

Anyone have Empire Plan NYSHIP -United healthcare ?
That's great! Even with the 6 month visits, it went so fast. I feel great. I'm in the pureed stage. Surgery really didn't cause me any pain either. Unless I'm just a great healer. I am down 22 pounds since surgery, can defiantly feel the difference. I'm not regretting it at all

I believe it was my doctors requirements, to check if there is anything else (hernia) that would need to be fixed as well.

I have the same insurance. I had to have 6 months nut visit, upper GI, EGD and psych eval. No issues with getting approved for surgery. BMI was 42. They covered EVERYTHING. I only I had to pay my copay i was sleeved on 1/6/16.

Noisy Tummy?
Mines horrible. We named him Oscar; the lion in my tummy. My surgeon said it's "waves" coming up from your small intestine during digesting/moving fluids through your body. He showed me it during my post op upper GI. It was pretty interesting to watch...and hear.

I felt great when I got home after surgery, the only thing was my throat and all was still very swollen. I couldn't even sip sip sip on water. I sent my fiance out for pedialyte, drink and popsicles, to keep me from dehydrating. The ice pops also helped the swelling. I wish I had them right when I got home. All I did was walk at the hospital, I didn't even them he touch half the stuff I brought

Had my surgery this morning. It went great so far. Only pain is the gas. My fiance has me walking and walking and walking. The gas is in my chest so it's not moving much other than that doing great

January or February 2016 Sleevers?
For me too! I'm scared about how calm I am about all of this, I am hoping it doesn't hit me as I am walking into the hospital.

January surgery
My surgery is Wednesday. Good luck! It hasn't hit me yet that it is so soon, it feels like the last couple of months have flown by. My surgeon doesn't require a pre op diet, but I am trying to replace as many meals this last week with protein shakes to get my body used to not physically eating. I've bought a lot of crystal light mix, diet snapple, fruit2o and unjury chicken broth protein for my all liquid after surgery though. Good luck again!!
