  1. i super duper feel you. i was sleeved on oct 7th. i went thru the regret thing big time. still going thru it a little bit. there are certain things i just can't eat. but to be fair i think it's the WAY i eat too. i don't take "pea sized" bites or go that slow so that's prolly my bad.

and, like some ladies above, i was doing premier Protein fine for a while and then suddenly i couldn't drink it i got super sick, diarrhea and everything but now i can drink it again (after taking a little) break.

i too am hungry all the time. my stomach doesn't growl but i have the hungry feeling. that part really pisses me off cuz i didn't think that was supposed to happen to us anymore (insert annoyed face).

my biggest regret is that i don't enjoy food anymore. like at all. but that might pass.

you just kinda get used to eating certain things that your body responds ok to and go with that. but i have friends that are like a year out or more that can "eat anything" so who knows.

I'm curious, during your preop liquid high Protein diet were you hungry at all??

  2. I'd be happy to join that if someone puts it together. I'm not all that Facebook savy.

To rebound off of what someone else shared...

My pre-op diet is 3 Protein shake Meal Replacements... Only Water or non caffeine non calorie drinks and non starchy veggies.

I'm finishing up day 4 of this diet and I'm already down 10lbs and in full blown Ketosis.

i'm finishing day 4 as well and lost a total of 8 lbs, lets start this Facebook forum

  3. Exactly. We don't have WLS to lose weight fast. We have it so we can lose it and keep it off. I only lost more than 10 pounds for 2 months. I just posted this in another thread. Doesn't make me any less successful!

I'm sorry but if you want to loose only 10lbs a month why are you considering surgery?

I have lost 86lbs in just over 4 months but I am eating well, certainly not undernourished and have 12 lbs to goal. Maybe if we eat well, the body will just stop at its natural weight.

When I was thinking about it today (funny you should do this post!) I pondered about reducing my goal weight. Now I have said that I will probably stall for the next few months lol ;)

i don't want to lose more than10 lbs a month, I don't want to look sick, and besides my goal weight is about 70 lbs total to loose.

Uh ... ten pounds weight loss a month is not untypical of "lighter weight" WLS patients. Several months pre-op I weighed 235 pounds. On the day of surgery I weighed 216 pounds and lost around 10 pounds a month the first 4 months. Then the monthly weight losses slowed down.

Still, I still hit my target weight of 150 at 8.5 months post-op.

In the next 6 months I lost 12 more pounds.

I'm now maintaining at 138 pounds.

    Month 1: -17

    Month 2: -10

    Month 3: -9

    Month 4: -8

    Month 5: -5

    Month 6: -5

    Month 7: -2

    Month 8: -7

    Month 9: -7

    Month 10: -3

    Month 11: -5

    Month 12: -7

=85 pounds and goal of 150

    Month 13: -3

    Month 14: -5

    Month 15: -0

that right there is perfect, but my impression is there are many people on here that just want to loose it quickly. I definitely want it to remain off and maintain it.

  4. its one thing if that's what naturally happened for you, but I personally just find it odd for someone to want to loose so little weight on purpose

Well I don't want to look sick and would like less saggy skin. Keep in mind I have to loose a total of 60-70lbs. I don't wanna loose more than that!

  5. I was told to stay away from straws too. Also not to drink Muscle Milk because it has too much sugar

They have 100 cAlorie muscle milk now, and it is very tasty...to me anyways

i just tasted the 100 calorie muscle milk as well it actually has no sugar and its the best I've tasted. However its very expensive, it runs a little over $3.00 for 14 oz, any suggestions where to get it cheaper
