    Eat more calories!

I was sleeved October 15. I'm lucky to get 400-500 too. My DR kind of gave me a stern talking to, I'm at a stall and he blames it on too low of calorie intake. I have to force proteins and liquids still. Please tell me it gets easier soon.

    sick in the stomach

I am going through this as well. My surgery was October 15. I did fine for a couple weeks then all of a sudden everything made me sick. Just the smell of food or coffee in my office had me nauseous. I called my Nutritionist, she asked if I had changed anything besides her food advancement, I had stopped taking my esophageal spasms meds; along with pain meds. She said that I needed to keep taking the spasm meds while I introduce food. It's like a whole new plumbing system. It helped some, I can handle smells and food a little better. But still always feel just a little off. Good luck. I sure hope this subsides quickly.
  3. I can stomach yogurt, Fairlife milk, cottage cheese. But cannot stand the shakes anymore. Is this sufficient?
  4. I'm only 3 1/2 weeks out I was fine up until about 2-3 days ago. Watching others eat fast food or even just normal food was ok with me. All of a sudden anytime someone cooks or brings food home, I literally dry heave. It only makes my appetite problem worse. Since I'm already having a very hard time eating anything. Today I've only had one 80 calorie yogurt. Food disgusts me right now, and I'm not liking this feeling.
  5. I'm only 3 1/2 weeks out and the doctor already took me off my BP meds. Yeah! I noticed dizziness and that's was the sign.
  6. 3 weeks out. Not interested in eating. Try to force, makes me sick to my stomach, but fearing I'm not getting enough protein. Doctor just says "do it". Has anybody been through this? Do I just keep trying and wait it out? Or try to force more in? I have gained 2 lbs this week. But not eating anything.

Feeling full / eating to much

I'm shocked you've advanced so fast. I was sleeved on October 15 and I can't start puréed foods till week 4. It was explained to me that any food with any texture at this point can get trapped in the staple line and cause leaks. If it still hurts be careful.

Regrets and worried for the future

Thanks for starting the post. I knew it would happen to me too and I kept telling myself not to feel regret. Had surgery on October 15 and within days I was thinking I should've just worked out or counted calories. I've lost 10 lbs and feel like it's not enough. The torture we put ourselves through is hell, we know it's temporary and we are told it will pass but when you're in it, it feels unbearable. I've been watching you tube videos, reading stories, joining groups like these to keep myself motivated. I think I have exhausted my family with my fears and constant discussions of what's to come. I cannot wait to be the one to tell someone like me. "It gets better"

    October sleevers

I cannot get enough fluid in. It hurts so much to drink anything. I can feel it going down and into my stomach then it spasms. I take the meds prescribed but then I just sleep still not getting fluids. I walk and walk and that did help the gas in the chest. I told myself before getting sleeved that I would not let myself regret it, but the mourning of food is killing me. I understand it will get better and I try not to dwell but having difficulty.
