  1. I am ex Army and I am almost sure the answer is you can not join. Entering into the Army, they want to know about all past surgeries. They do not want to pay you disability for any issues you might have from a pre-existing procedure. Now hey are downsizing they are being even more strict with joining.

  2. I'm 1 day post op. Surgery took place last night. My surgery was easy and straight forward, sleeve took 30 mins from rolling back to OR to when doc came and told my friend I was heading to recovery.

I woke up from anethesia very very sick. I vomited a few times. And was shocked by the pain.

Just a couple hours later I had figured out the morphene drip and was up and moving. I had many nurses who were really shocked by my willpower. One even said I looked like a visitor, not someone who just had surgery. I was released this morning at 10am, just 16 hours from when I had my surgery. I feel great. Went and got my meds filled and picked up some yogurt and Soup. I am glad I had such a great recovery... That's one thing I was worried about.

I'm glad you feel great and I am going to pray I am as blessed as you and have the same experience.

  3. @deatiny_77, I am in the same boat as you as far as gaining. They told me not to lose any either but now the problem is I gained far more than I should have. Actually, they told me because of my bmi initially that it wouldn't hurt if I gained a few pounds but then I couldn't stop. i was told not to worry that I just need to now follow the eating plan giving in vandy's book.

  4. Hopefully, they put you on the call back list in case they have a cancellation! Congrats on approval!!

I didn't even know they do that. Since I have bothered them enough might as well bother them just a little more and ask. Either way, I am happy, ready to start the new year on the losing waggon. Lucky for you that they got you in right before the new year.

  5. APPROVED!!!!!! for surgery. After calling the insurance company every day they called me today to tell me I was approved. Too bad I the doctor has no more dates available this month because they told me I have met my deductible if I have it done this month I would have minimal out of pocket expense. Hopefully I can get a date for the begining of the year.

  6. @@Nikke25, I didn't get that date from Vandy, that's the date ins. provided. I'm not sure how they come to that date but I did call and ask "what if" I couldn't take off work during that time or the surgeon/ hospital can't accommodate those dates and she said they would have to do another review. So now just crossing my fingers that everything comes together!! Please keep me updated on yours!

Oh wow.... another review just for a date change? Hopefully, they can fit you in for December. They told me Dr. Spann has a few more dates open for December
