  1. I know about stalls ..I have experienced them but right now at 10 weeks out I'm not stalling but I'm just losing .5 lb a week...I'm so confused. I work out 90min a day at least 5 miles I count every oz of water, weight and track every bit of food... I eat 30-40 carbs a day I get all recommend protein my Nut does not want me to increase calories or protein and is aware of my work out routine. I get over my required water every single day....yet here I am at .5 lb a week. I eat fiber and im going regularly taking all my vitamin and my body fat is going down very slowly and my measurements are almost the same ........whhhhhhaaaaaaat? I don't know what to do and I'm frustrated I'm contemplating eliminating food and sticking to ONLY protein shakes for a week to see if it helps. I took 4 days off from exercise and i lost weight I go back to the gym and i slow my own weight loss? Tips & suggestions welcome!
  2. Someone help me!! My NUT won't allow me to eat a tablespoon of coconut oil to help me go..... I take 4 tablespoons Fiber daily, I take magnesium citrate, I drink 100-120oz Water a day, I eat two yogurts a day, I have 1oz fiber food a day with dinner (all my NUT allows at this point) and i liter had the mkst excruciating poop of my life. My pouch hurt for three days bc i couldn't poop and then I pooped a the biggest I have ever done....and now one day later I have more impacted Stool. I am trying fleet enemas and the nasty ole glove and finger but I can't take going through this again. The pain is horrific.
  3. Also let me add - I have gained 2 lbs ...my body fat % has been stuck at 47.5 since week 4 even after losing 5lbs then week 5 I hit another stall and it has been at 47.5 for two weeks. I am not on my period and i don't salt foods. I am tired and taking the day off of my exercise regimen bc my body is sore and im cranky. I'll get over it by tomorrow but today I'm in my feelings. Stall from week 2.5 to week 4 Stalled from week 5-7
  4. I had a stall at 3 weeks...that lasted a week and a half. I am now at 7 weeks and I am hitting 2 weeks now on another stall eating 30-40 carbs per day under 10 grams of sugar a day 6-800 cal per day and burning around 4,000 calories per day by walking 10k steps a day. I am getting 100% of my Protein drinking 120oz Water a day - less than 15 grams fat a day and I monitor my heart rate during cardio to make sure I'm I'm fat burn zone.i asked my NUT she said DO NOT increase calories stick to exactly what I'm doing . I feel like this isn't working for me bc I am literally killing myself to put in so much meticulous effort into doing all the right things yet I barely lose weight. Thyroid - fine Vitamin levels - fine Exercise - 7 days a week for 70-90 min I know they say ride it out but when I'm wearing my ass off trying to lose weight that phrase doesn't help.

Starting weight before liquid diet 348 Day of surgery March 31st - 338 Thursday May 19th -298/300 I'm confused because I have had one stall at week 3 but when I started working out again the stall stopped. Now I am working out 1-2 hrs a day and getting 100% of Protein 100% of my Water and less than 50 carbs a day around 6-800 calories? I was losing weight from 300 to 298 but today I got on the scale and my body fat % is the exact same and i have gained 2 lbs back to 300! What is going on? I am working out harder than ever!!!!

    Thank you for the reply! I was so worried when I saw the scale - I am so so good abt Protein and Water on normal days I don't miss a beat but I was camping in a tent on a conservation & I did have some chicken breast to grill but only the first couple days bc it won't last in a cooler - so I was doing protein shakes and tuna and I am kicking myself right now bc I don't want to set myself back .... I am 4weeks post op tomorrow and I just went a week long vacation where I struggled with my Vitamin regimen and did not eat enough - but my Water was very very high and I exercised extensively I actually was able to do a 6 mile hike (cleared by my surgeon) I came home and I gained 3lbs and my body fat percentage went UP 1%. I am ready to cry. I know how important Protein is my goal is 100 grams a day and I hit 70 for most of the week bc of food options I was relying on Protein shakes and tuna (plain) a lot. I averaged 100 oz of water daily and exercised daily for 30 min to an hr. Has anyone experienced this? I assumed I might have gained muscle until I saw the body fat % & my calorie intake was around 5-600 a day. Please help. Sent from my Z970 using the BariatricPal App

I am only 10 days post op, NUT has me on the third week of my diet plan already which means I can have more variety in my food & I am a great cook so I know there are endless opportunities but I can't eat much so in order to get all of my Protein I am basically eating meat. I'm tired of meat .....I'm tired of Protein shakes. I have to get in 90-113 grams of protein but all I want is some vegetables... Kale, spinach, roasted carrots something else!!!! I know how important protein is but if I get all my protein from shakes I'm too full for anything else and if I get it from meat same thing. does anyone have suggestions for vegan or vegetarian protein sources ????     Am I eating too much?

    I followed up with my NUT and gave her the example of what I am eating she said any Calcium (yogurt, 1-2oz soft cheese, milk ect) does not count as a meal and I can add Protein powder to it for my daily goal but I should have 3 servings of calcium a day and as for my meals - it is normal that I can "hold" 4-5oz right now but she wants me to aim for 1-3oz instead bc my pouch is still healing. I have stopped eating as I was before & started doing only 1-3oz 1x a day and just protein shakes the rest of the time. Sent from my Z970 using the BariatricPal App
  12. Let me preface this by saying 1. Yes I do measure everything - EVERY THING. 2. I am only 1wk post op 3. My Dr. Saw me on day 5 and moved me up to pureed food bc I am handling my liquids so well. Now that is out of the way - I am not feeling "fullness" or I don't think I am...I am supposed to eat 1.5oz pureed Protein and then till I'm comfortable ... I am able to eat 5oz pureed without any I'll effects....6 usually makes me feels a little tightness behind my belly button which may just be gas pains but I always stop at 4/5 oz. I'm worried because I know "numbness" can cause you not to feel full and I am worried about expanding my pouch. I am able to drink & eat with no nausea ...I get my protein in no problem. Typical day for me - 9am ---- 8oz hot tea +1 TBSP applesauce (for my potassium) 10am ----8oz fat free milk + Protein powder 11am-----8oz Water 12am-----8oz water 12:30-----4-5 oz tuna/egg/light Mayo pureed 1:30----8oz water 2:30---- 8oz water 3:30---- 8oz fat free milk 4:30-----5oz triple zero Greek yogurt with protein powder blended 5:30-----8oz water 6:00-----4/oz blended egg/tuna/light Mayo 7:00 ----- 8oz water 8:00 ----- 8oz water 8:30 (sugar free popsicle) sometimes if I feel the need to snack and I can't shake it. Avg calorie intake is 720-860, protein is 92-113 carbs are 45-60 and sugar is 15-25 per day? I feel like I am eating so much??? Sent from my Z970 using the BariatricPal App

    I am not using any straws and I am feeling like I may need to go to urgent care or somewhere...I have not had any problems with getting fluids but now I am...the gas/indigestion is worse than ever...im at a total loss on what to do. I'm taking the max dose of gas pills that can be given...I walk even when it hurts so bad I want to cry. I keep walking bc that's all everyone says to do ....but I'm 6 days out and the gas is coming from me taking in fluids??? Also I am taking Fiber with ever Protein shake & now I am constipated with hemorrhoids. I was doing so well in the start?? Sent from my Z970 using the BariatricPal App
