Im 10 months post op and i LOVE my band... i have had no issues with it... i was too tight at 1 point and needed an unfill but that was my fault cuz i asked the DR to fill me more...I will never remove my band.... I have lost over 100 pnds in 10 months... so its been good to me!! -
Banded in July 08 and have only lost 10 pounds!! HELP!

I eat alot less then her tho? And i didnt start working out til a week ago... is everyone that different? I can only eat like 2oz's 3x a day... -

Each time you have an episode where you throw up you need to go on liquids for 24 hrs to let your stomach rest from the trama... and if you eat more protein you will stay full longer.... -

We all went through what you are going through... i had no restriction and i was hungry from day 1!! I was still hungry and able to eat alot after my first fill... it was not til my 2nd fill i felt the band and started to lose weight.... after my 2nd fill i could only eat 2-3oz's and i was fine only eating 3 times a day... so be patient, i know its hard... cuz it was for me! -
Get a fill... no matter how hard i tried... i could never eat whatever i want.... a fill will motivate you too!

PS My Dr wouldnt fill until 6 weeks too... that is the protcol for the Inamed lapband...

I had GERD... its gone... I was banded July 2008 ... almost 8 months ago and i have lost 100 pnds... im 5 pnds from my goal... 170 isnt my ideal weight... but it looks the best on me... My sleep apnea is gone... You have to want the surgery... no one can talk you into it... My friend had gastric 1 month after me... i have lost more weight to date then him... Dr's get paid like $10,000-$20,000 more to do bypass... so i see some pushing it more then lapband... its sad but true....

The last 4 months i lived with my band the way you have yours right now i think. i lived on soup.I guess i just really wanted to get to my goal fast.I know some people want to eat a decent amount still and lose weight... i ate about 2 oz's 3x a day the past 4 months... and then i went in last week and asked for a fill... boy was that a MISTAKE. i can barely drink. i havent ate in over a week!! So i call today for an unfill... and my DR is out sick for 2 days.. so im stuck like this another 2 days!! I have lost almost 10 pnds in this week alone.... Im 4 pnds from my goal... which is 170... my DR wants me to be 150... but people are calling me skinny minnie already and they say i look 150-160... so i think i carry my weight well... So im gonna get the unfill on wed... and maybe unfill it more then i was prior.im ready to back out of weightloss mode and kinda relax! How much do you have to lose? You dont look that big??

I financed it... and it was 17,500 where i live... I know its cheaper in mexico and a few doctors in the states are cheaper...

Congrats!! I feel you about nothing losing unless you are "tight" i can only eat 2 oz's and i had another fill... i think i might be too tight now tho... but my weight is dropping off... i think i might wait til im at goal then go get an unfill... I dont mind living on liquids if im losing well... -

How are you doing?? How often do you go see Dr. Teng? I was there the other day... and i got in a fight with him this time... about weather or not i needed a fill... so upsetting!! I went in and told him how i felt... and was like do i need a fill?? And he was like you tell me??? WTF... i thought he was the DR???
