  2. @@rking just curious how much have you lost on suck a strict nutrition plan? You are def strong!
  3. I am doing well spirit wise, however k am struggling getting all the fluids in and I'm dealing with pain as well. I was trying not to take pain meds that often but will take some today. Are you still sore? In any form of pain? I'm not in any pain 1.5 weeks out. I think I had minimal pain from the get go! Each day gets better and you'll be able to drink/eat more and more, but to a point.
  4. Congrats! I was sleeved 12/1! Going great so far. Down 9 lbs but the thing I'm loving the best is how full I get on so little! The other thing is that recovery was not that bad! Good luck and keep us posted!
  5. Awesome!!!! Congrats!
  6. During my 1st week post op, I was hungry after day 3, if I wasn't "eating" every couple hours. Good thing though was that after I ate a very little bit of Soup (1/4 cup...if that) I was full. I'm now in purées at wk 2, so I stay full longer and still fill up really quickly. I'm really liking the sleeve so far.
  7. I'm one week post-op, down 9lbs! Trying to get these fluids in but I'm not a fan of Protein shakes. Thank God I can have tuna and canned meat now! Plus black Beans, cottage cheese, avocado!!! Now I can make sure I reach my protein intake! I am like a kid in a candy store! How is everyone that has recently had surgery doing??
  8. Bonita! Your day is almost here! How are you feeling?
  9. Thank u! I went to full liquids on day 2! Although that was just 2 oz of soup, 2 oz of jello, and 2 oz juice at one meal. Lol. Each day I'm getting in more and more. Have to work on getting my protein shakes in. I hate sipping and then it gets warm. I go to purées on tues! So tuna and canned meats are ok...can't wait! Lol
  10. Great mentality...one day at a time!good luck on Tues! I'll check in on u!
  11. Hey Tom! I was sleeved on 12/1 as well! We should keep in touch! How are you feeling? How's the liquid diet going?
  12. I had my surgery 12/1! 5 days post op now, and in looking for some buddies too! I'll def keep in contact and check in on you!
  13. How's it going so far? Do you have an update?
  14. Awesome! Tell me your tricks! Do you work out everyday? Do you follow a certain meal plan! Do tell! I'm 4d out and need this surgery to be successful.
  15. It's best to eat small meals every 2-3hrs. It keeps your blood sugar steady.
  16. I would eat before the events and drink some juice while there. It's not worth the one or two things you'll have.
  17. Lol. I did wake up! Thanks. Feeling great, and hope it stays this way.
  18. Awesome!!! Great job. Ur officially in "one-derland"
  19. Hi! I'm recovering so well! Thank God! Honestly I thought recovery would be horrible, but it really hasn't been! I finally got to eat my clear liquid diet last night and couldn't finish (I should say) didn't want to finish my 4 oz of broth. Today I did eat my 2 oz broth, 2 oz Jello, 2 oz apple juice and 1 oz Protein packet. It took about an hour to eat but I feel good! I hope ur surgery and recovery goes smoothly!
  20. Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope it comes out as benign. My prayers are with you!
  21. Yes, that's what my nutritionist said as well. She said to try to get 3/day. I'm just curious how much u can really drink at a time. I eat my first meal in a few hours so I guess I'll see how I tolerate liquids. Good luck on ur procedure! Ull do great!
  22. Thanks everyone! Surgery went well and not in as much pain as I was with my band. Doing pretty good so far. Not hungry either...just thirsty. So excited to be starting my journey. For those who have the sleeve already..do u find it difficult to get ur Protein count in for the day?
