  1. Right on, Thank You both. Just having somebody to reassure me and answer back was awesome. I will get this. Really excited to start having fun with food and enjoying food again.....this way.
  2. Hi All, I had my WLS on April 13th. I am 10 days post op. Feeling fantastic. I will say that with all the prep and planning, over thinking and organizing, now that it is here and green light. I find myself confused and not informed as I thought I was. This biggest thing I think that I am screwing up is the size of my protein shake. 1 Scoop of UnJury and 8oz of nut milk or milk. Is that too big? How long should I be taking to consume that? I take like 10 minutes and I do not feel full like when I eat 1/2 cup of scrambled egg for first time. My doc told me to start playing with soft food. No meat till 4th week, but at my 10th day, I am eating cottage cheese, scrambled egg and yogurt. I am just worried about stretching my stomach with protein shakes. Lets discuss this. I am sooooo excited though, feel fantastic and I am melting.
  3. Man, I am so glad to hear you are in such a good place emotionally. Can I as you a few personals? DId you have to have a cath? I have never had one and am terrified of it, obviously. My dad said they are not as bad as you would think. Also, I have been told I will be in the hospital one night. Did you have laproscopic or the more invasive way? I really appriciate you taking the time to let us know. I am getting so excited/nervous. It is just two weeks and two days away for me. Thanks man, Kip
  4. Awesome!!! Best of Luck. I just got my surgery approval date TODAY for March 31st! I am looking forward to following you. Only a few hours a way till morning. Deep breaths and Keep us posted as soon as you feel like chatting.
  5. I really am so thrilled for everybody here. I can't wait to hear about the few days leading up, Then surgery, I really want to know what everybody feels like, eat, body/stomach adjustment.....everything for the 7 days post op. That I am unclear on completely. I know what my diet will be like, but I am anxious to know about energy levels. Also, one of my biggest fears is feeling parched. I am such an iced tea with splenda guzzler. So many people are worried about food cravings, I am worried about how not having 8 Tervis Tumbles of iced tea and splenda a day is going to unfold for me. Wishing everybody all the best. Keep us posted on all things amazing new chapter of life. Kip
  6. I am right behind you with a March 3rd date. I hope I can sit at the cool kids table with you guys during this. I just finished my psych evaluation, had my first appointment with the dietitian. I am just waiting on some insurance stuff to go through, but all is looking good. It is all I can think about. I am keeping pretty quiet about it. I have not told social media yet, I am thinking about doing a video blog of the process. I am looking forward to hearing about your pre and post op's. Hoping this finds you well.
