Starting to shrink reacted to vsgSarah3 in Valentine's Day Weight Loss Challenge
Welcome to the Valentines Day weight loss challenge! Im Sarah (vsgSarah3) I have taken over the weight loss challenges form Stephh so she can focus on her new coming addition!
Please be patient with me as I work full time and have 3 kids to care for. I will do my best to update every Monday, Tuesday at the latest. This is my first time hosting so please be kind!
I think its best to keep the same basic rules Stephh had going so he goes.
The challenge will run from Monday Jan. 4th through Feb. 15th. This will give a total of 7 weigh in's. Please add your starting and goal weight on Jan. 4th and your last weight on Feb. 15th. I will also update the spreadsheet on Mondays.
The link for the spreadsheet is:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZuOPpFyp_aGa6UQwcWiFzo-JTQVBrmFIot417Vq10qA/edit?usp=docslist_api
Rules and Reminders:
1. You will know the spreadsheet is updated once I have liked your post
2. Post weigh ins here, in this post only.
3. We are all here to support each other, so if you have questions posted here they will be answered by anyone else willing to help.
4. If you want to adjust your goal weight please add it to your reply in this post.
5. If you miss a weigh in, no problem! Just post it with your next weeks weigh in.
6. If your screen name changes please let me know your old and new name.
7. If you miss 3 or more weigh ins I will assume you no longer want to continue the challenge and your name will be removed from the spreadsheet.
This challenge is for anyone! If you have not had your surgery yet, if you just had surgery, or if you are just in maintenance and need to have some accountability, this challenge is for you!!!

Starting to shrink got a reaction from thenewandbestme in Regret surgery
@ i'm almost 4 weeks post-op and i'm going to tell you my experience. When i got home from the hospital i was so upset with myself for doing the surgery and taking the easy way out. That feeling lasted for about a week but then i started to realize that this was not the easy way out. This is just a helpful tool to aid you along your weight loss journey. What messes with you most is the mental aspect of the process and i think once you get over that first hump then it gets smoother and smoother. Your brain needs to get on the same page as your body and once that happens you forget all the icky stuff and you remember why you decided to do this. To live a long healthy life and my main reason, to be healthy for my kids so i can go to their graduation and whatever they may need me for. Good luck and please stay positive.

I think we all wish we could've done it on our own. But sometimes God has other plans for us. Now we all have the chance to get and stay healthy for the rest of our lives. No more yoyos for any of us. Good luck.

Starting to shrink reacted to Elode in HELP! (No, it's not really THAT dramatic????)
@@Starting to shrink I have had those chocolate and they are delicious but my "just have one " filter gets broke and then you know what comes after eating a bag of SF candy!!! I've even tried freezing them to slow me down.

to quickly satisfy the sweet tooth, a piece of Whitman's sugar free chocolate or Werther's Original sugar free chewy caramels. totally delish!! oh one more thing, nestle makes a sugar free frozen fruit pop, that's great to curb cravings..

Starting to shrink got a reaction from CynLala in New York sleevers
Hiya, i had a stall on my 4th week also but by week 5 i started losing again. i'm at week 6 now. as they say on here, don't be discouraged, stalls happen, it's just your body adjusting good luck!

Starting to shrink reacted to SleevaDiva in 2 years and 231 pounds down!
Yep, I'm closing in on the two-year mark since my sleeve procedure, and the scale reads 147 pounds this morning. At 5'10", that brings my BMI down to 21.1, and that's a number I could NEVER have imagined after life as a size 5X, tipping the scales at 378 pounds! I'll be 56 years old in April, and I can honestly say that the last time I weighed less than 200lbs was in junior high school. I'm still coming to grips with the ridiculous amount of weight I had carried around all those years, all the abuse my poor body endured...it really is amazing that I am even here to share this experience! So, if any of you readers out there are still hesitant about "taking the plunge", all I can say is DO IT...Do it and don't look back!
