I am curious about how much everybody is eating at one time. I feel like i have great restriction but I eat more than a cup of food at one sitting. I do not over eat because I can't. Just wanted some input on this......... Thanks

I can go days without pb's and then there will be a day where everything that I eat comes up! I still have a problem with eating slow and chewing

Hi guys, It's been a long time since I posted and just wanted to give you guys an update. My first fill was 1cc and I was tight but it got losser towards the later part of the week. I had my second fill of .5 and was so tight that I had to get a unfill. I have days where I can eat and then days where i can not keep anything down. Is anyone experiencing anything like this after such a small fill amount? Oh I am down 38lbs in total!!!!!!!!!

I just got my first fill on thursaday and I stll don't feel any restriction. i can go for my second fill in 2 weeks.

I have learned tthat the weight will not drop off until you have restriction! I also have tried to educate people around me about the band. The few people that I have told are watching me waiting for the weight to just drop off. It's not bypass............. You have to work and wait and work and wait..........

Hi everyone! I am 31 but I feel that this is the group for me. I hope that is o.k. with everybody. All of my friends are married and are starting to have children and I am not even close. I was in a 8 yrs relationship that ended 6 weeks before we were suppose to get married. My Mother asked me if he cheated on my because I had gained so much weight. So to make a long story short, I understand where you guys are more then 30 somethings. i have always had a great self image until about 6 mths ago and thats when i decided to gat the band. I only told 3 of my close girls and they are so supportive. My mother found out because she saw my pre op paperwork on my table when she came to visit. Now all I hear is how " when you are skinny........" She thinks that the reason I am not married is because I am fat. Does she even take into concideration that I have had several bad experiences that might effect the way I look at relationships? I am just curious about how the people aroung you feel about you getting banded

Hi everyone, I went for my 3 week post op appt. today and I have not lost any weight. I am really not that concerned because I have not had a fill. My 1st fill is oct. 3rd (yeah)!!!! I really don't have any restriction but I am eating no more than 900 calories a day. I can't wait for the scale to start moving again...........................

How is everybody doing on the post-op diet? What were you told that you could eat for the 2 weeks after surgery?

You will be fine. The only problem I had was sitting up so I would have someone pull me up and then I was good. I have been walking a lot. i just has surgery on tuesday and 2morrow I am going to the mall. I am really bored

I am 2 days post op and I am starving! Did anyone else go through this? I have has protein shakes,broth,and water but my stomach keeps begging me to feed it. ANy suggestions?

I had to do 3 weeks!!!!!!!! I was alowed to eat a slice of turkey and cheese rolled together if i needed to chew. I ended up doing South beach at night and liquids during the day. I still lost 21lbs but did all liquids 4 days prior to surgey. I got banded today so I have another 2 weeks of liquids to go.................... Just take it one day at a time.

I got banded today. Everything went very well and I am doing great. I had to use the bathroom right away because of all the fluids. Once I did this the pain was really almost gone!!! I started to walk and did not stop moving for the next hour untill I had to do my Fluro test. My doctor and nurse said that I was one of the quickest recoveries that they has seen. Not all was good......... My doctor said the my liver was also one of the biggest that he has see. I was on liquids for 3 weeks but I did do South Beach at night for one of those weeks. I lost 21lbs during this time and can't imagine how big my liver was before the liquid stage. My bmi is only 36 so he is really shocked with this. I have not slept much at all. I took two 25min naps and one that lasted an hour. Now it's 1am and I just came back in from a walk. The only trouble I am having is getting up from the sofa and I have not even tried out my bed yet. It sits too high and I don't want to hurt myself trying. I did gain eight lbs from the surgery. I hope that when I get weigh myself in the morning I will be back down again. Can someone tell me how long the bloating lasts? Also I have not gone number 2 in four days. I talked to my doctor and he said that was fine. I could take some milk of mag. to move things along if I wanted to. Well this is my experience of banding day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you guys smoke when you had surgery? Did it effect you when waking up from the surgery? If you did quit, how long did you wait till you started again?

telly, I will have to say that one of my fears is losing my hair with the weight loss but If I look anything like you do if I shaved my head, then my worries are over. You look sooooooo good!

Serendipity 4124 I also have a very physcal job and it has been very hard for me. I went to the doctor 6 days into my fast (11lbs down) and just told them that I have no energy at all. They told me that I could eat lunch meat wrapped in cheese for energy. My new thing is the liquid diet all day and then phase one of south beach for dinner. I feel like a whole new person. I had so much energy last night that I could not fall asleep. You will stll take off weight, I feel like we are making such a change in our lives and that you need to feel like a normal person as far as energy. It really started to effect my personality. You need to do what is best for you..........
