  1. As others have stated stalls pretty much come with the territory. What I have done is I would switch my exercise routine by upping the intensity, it worked for me but everyone has different results.

    Needing Advice

Well that is exactly what this time is for. This is the time when you have to learn how to eat, and take control of your diet and your life.

    Stupid question

Do not count in coffee or anything caffeinated as that has the opposite effect.
  4. I personally am not a calorie counter. I also spend 2 1/2 hours a day in gym after work, and according to my Garmien I burn over 3000 calories a day, so the calories I intake on a normal day would not exceed what I burn. If I counted I am sure I would fall into a calorie deficit.

    When did you start lifting?

I personally took my time and started off with light stuff and walking. You had major surgery and you will have been down a few weeks. Just my opinion but best to start off slow

    Bypass or band !

No matter which way you decide to go loose skin probably going to happen. That being said I have yet to see someone who has loose skin hanging on their face. Mid section and thighs sure but face I have yet to see.

a week out might be a little soon seeing tomato is a bit acidy, but I would check with your doc or nut to be sure

    Workout routime

I do a daily run of 5K on the tread mill and weight work after, but that is not something everyone would enjoy. I would suggest perhaps something like some light cross fit training. Most of us have some abdominal or core issues due to the weight we have shed so I would say that would be a good place to start.

    Not doing so well

For the sake of argument if it is not fake this person needs a serious wake up call. Giving them the snowflake treatment accomplish nothing
  12. By the look of things I would say you are doing very well. Keep up the great work!

    Not doing so well

You need to get in touch with your surgical people and your physiologist. If you can not change your behavior not only were you not ready for this change, you are putting yourself in danger of having some very serious complications. say I sound mean if you like but this is the time to put on the adult pants and start acting accordingly
  14. I would say do your homework and decide which procedure is right for you.
  15. I personally like mine but I prefer the Garmin vivio fit line because you can swim with it and not worry.

Can't find any exercise I like!

some days I think everyone finds it a challenge to get in exercise, that is just when you have to push yourself to do it. Once it becomes a habit things are much easier.

    Duodenal switch advice

there is a ton of great advice here, just look around in the old posts. The biggest advice I can give you is get on your feet and walk as soon as you can. Yes it does help! That and keep working on your Water and Protein intake, all are very important.

    Snack

People you can talk until you are blue in the face and type until your fingers bleed, but you can not give common sense through osmosis. People either have common sense or not. I find it unfortunate and frustrating that people who fail at this journey do so by there own failures and then say " well it didn`t work for me." Clearly this is medically proven to work, there is no problem with the tried and true procedure. The problem falls squarely on the patients lack of ability to follow up on there bargain so to speak. No one likes to fail at anything, and nothing will help these people until they can get to the point that they realize that this procedure is only a tool. Until you can change the way you think about your diet, you are destine to fail it just that simple. Name calling and getting pissed is not going to get you anywhere, perhaps a long hard look in the mirror will serve you much better, maybe that might get you to take a bit more control of your life and your health.
  20. yep. My right side was tender for a bit, as for the lack of energy, just try to give it some time. Not only have you had a major surgery but now your body has to get use to this whole new diet.

    New it this group!

Welcome! you will find lots of good info here
  22. You are probably not going to get a straight answer to this question, this is due to the fact that everyone loses as a different rate.
  23. Potted meat....that is a fancy name for something I would not feed to my dog.

    Drinking sprite

HMMM lets see I had an operation done to reduce the size my stomach, and the part that allows for stomach expansion has been removed. what part of drinking something carbonated sounds like a good idea if your stomach can not expand to allow for the carbonation gas.

    Weakness During Workout :(

without more information I can only make a guess at this but I suspect you might be looking at a Protein issue. The more active you are the more protein demand your body will have. I usually have a Protein Bar on the way to the gym, and then dinner after the gym with some sort of lean higher protein meat like chicken or fish.
