  1. I'm in the same boat. I lost 18lbs total and have been in a stall for over a week. Pretty annoying. I too will refrained from weighing myself for a bit.
  2. Keep a positive outlook! Everything will be ok. I am 1 week and 2 days post surgery. I've had my ups and downs but in down 12lbs. I see progress and that motivates me. Best of luck ????
  3. I am struggling with regret. The idea of cutting an organ sorta plagues me. I guess I will get over it as I progress!
  4. I had surgery 6 days ago and have an annoying sharp pain on my right side. It hurts when I sit, stand breath... I have to be moving constantly to relieve pain but my body is tired from lack of sleep since the surgery. I struggle because no position is comfortable for me at bed time. Anyone experience this?
  5. I too went from lab band to sleeve. I had my surgery 5 days ago. Glad to hear you're back to a routine. I took some time off of work. Look forward to hear more of your updates.
  6. I haven't gotten on the scale either. I will do my first weigh in (post op) on my fu doctors visit next week.
  7. I'm on my 5th day and I can agree on your description. Feeling hungry can't wait to eat something other than a shake ???? glad your home! One day at a time ????
  8. My goal is pregnancy as well. I'll be following your ???? progress!
  9. That hasn't been my experience. I haven't had any bowel movements since surgery. About to call my doctor. Not sure if that is normal. Hope you find some relief soon!
  10. Very happy for you. I pray you continue to succeed with your sleeve and that your heart rate regulates!
  11. 1. I was tired of dieting, having breathing problems, and I was afraid I wouldn't wake up one day. 2. I always found myself hiding every where that I went. Didn't want to be noticed. 3. Having difficulty getting pregnant. 4. Weighed 291 before surgery couldn't conceive how close I was to 300lbs. 5. Wanted to do it before my 34th bday.
  12. Thanks all! I will call my doc tomorrow. That makes more sense than waiting till my fu.
  13. Encouraging! Thanks for sharing
  14. Good luck Chica! Hope all goes well!
  15. Thanks Linaka! BTW my surgery was on the same day. Hope you feel better too!
  16. My situation: well I had the lap band removed in December 2014 due to slippage. I wasn't going to do the sleeve but became really concerned when I gained over 30 pounds in a matter of few months. After some talk with my surgeon I decided that the VGS was a good option for me. I had the surgery on Friday. What I'm currently experiencing is some what isolation on top of the discomfort I mentioned in my initial post. Plus I'm feeling (physically) very hungry and that was confusing because I thought my appetite would go away. Hope that gives a better picture of my situation.
  17. I have a follow up in a few days will definitely mention what you've suggested. Thanks for your feedback.
  18. Hello All, glad I found this app. Today is my 3rd day since surgery and truth is I'm a bit miserable. I have heart burn, I feel light heade, my incisions feel tender and I do feel sorta alone. Although the family is supportive it's not the same when they haven't experienced what I'm going through. I know things will get better but i have some time before I feel some what normal.
