  1. Magnesium Citrate purchased over the counter at Walmart and most pharmacies. Drink half the bottle slowly, and you will have results. I was constipated and an enema and suppositories didn't work. So my Dr. recommended the Mag. Citrate. It comes in Cherry flavor and isn't too bad. But I was looking for results and didn't care about taste. Good luck!
  2. I was sleeved Oct 12, 2015. So far I'm down 60 lbs. I have 40 lbs. to go.
  3. No longer on pain Meds. My surgeon sent me for x-rays and I had a stool blockage in my colon, I ended up going to suppositories and Miralax route before getting relief. The NP recommended I continue using the Miralax daily and culturelle to help with this.
  4. Hello, just wondering if there are any sleevers who have had issues not being able to urinate? I ended up going to the ER early this morning because I was so uncomfortable. I don't know what could have brought it on, and they tell me I don't have a uti, I'm not dehydrated, so they strapped me up with a portable catheter and sent me home. I'm to see my Dr. Tomorrow who did my sleeve surgery. Thanks in advance for any info.
  5. I did not have an endoscopy pre-op. I'm pretty healthy other than the fact that i'm obese, plus now I have this bacteria in my gut.
  6. I am post-op 8 days, and am doing really well, I had my first follow-up visit with my surgeon yesterday and am down 15 pounds. He mentioned that they found I have h-pylori bacteria in my gut and have to be on a strong course of antibiotics for a while. I've had this bacteria about 5 years ago, which was found after blood tests. Left untreated this bacteria can cause ulcers, and worse. Since I've now had the gastric sleeve, I definitely don't need ulcers, or anything worse. Plus with the swallowing restrictions currently(nothing bigger than a baby aspirin), I was given capsules that I have to empty into a tablespoon of sugar-free pudding and take twice a day. I don't want this to sound like complaining, I'm glad they found the bacteria, so that it can be taken care of. It's just that I'm sitting here saying to myself seriously?, i'm finally feeling better about myself, my clothes are looser, oh well, that's how my story goes though. I just want this bacteria gone for good. My doctor said it's possible that the bacteria can re-occur, which of course it did. I have no idea where it even came from. My husband tells me its from eating too much chicken, I should start eating beef (i'm not a red meat girl).
  7. Hi All, I'm new to this page...my surgery is scheduled for Oct. 12th by Dr. Tom White in Omaha, NE. I'm anxious and excited all at the same time. I start my liquid diet this Friday, and have my pre-op pcp evaluation, blood work, chest xray, etc. all fun stuff.
