  1. @@lachellove - thx for the prayers. I am 8 days out today. Today I am feeling much better. I had a couple of complication, but it was due to anesthesia, not the actual surgery. I have never done well with anesthesia. Really makes me nauseous, no matter what they give me to combat it. But I hope that is in the past and each day is better than the last.
  2. I live alone also and have found it handy to have friend help me out. Who is driving you home from hospital? Do you have a friend or someone from church that can come by for an hour each day til you know you are on your feet well?
  3. @@60&goin4it - thanks for the well wishes and prayers.
  4. Hi everyone. My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning. I will be inviting God in that OR with me and praying that He guides the doctor and blesses me with an uncomplicated and speedy recovery. If you all would pray for me too, I would greatly appreciate it. I pray that God blesses and keeps each of you.
  5. @pitbullgrl. You didn't post yesterday. Just checking to see if you are okay?
  6. Prayers going up for all that are having surgery today.
  7. I went to first informational meeting on sept. 10th. Surgery scheduled for oct. 15th. I am self pay in US.
  8. Chicken broth can without the noodles.
  9. I also have the Beverly UMP and love it. Mixes well and tastes great.
  10. @@beachgal - thx for sharing. Nice to compare.
  11. There are worse things than being single ---- being with the wrong person. You can't meet Mr. Right as long as you are with Mr. Wrong.
  12. Thanks for the reply. I saw a couple of other positive post today also of people doing well post op without complications. I am praying that will be me also.
  13. I am so glad to hear you are doing well!
  14. You do look darn great! I am so glad you posted a story of no complications. Most of what I read gives my pause about going through with the surgery. I am scheduled for 10/15.
  15. You are only 1 month post op. 20 lbs lost is good. Give yourself some time. It does not come off overnight. Read the posts in this forum. Most people go through stalls and then start losing again. Your body is adjusting to the new normal.
  16. Yes, I am scheduled for 10/15.
  17. Glad you are doing better!
  18. @60&going4it - thoughts and prayers are with you.
  19. I ask my Dr. about this. The portion of the stomach removed produces most of the grehlin, hormone is still produced in the body, just not as much. He also said everyone is different as when you remove one hormone it affects other hormones in the body.
  20. I am self pay also. I'm using Dr. Westmoreland in Murfreesboro, Tn. Located right outside of Nashville.
  21. Thx for your post. I love reading success stories. Inspiring!
  22. Praying for your surgery to go well and a speedy recovery. I love the step by step. I will be following you. My surgery is next week.
  23. @@SleevePerry - what a difference 17 WLS makes. You look wonderful! That should be 17 weeks...
