  1. Lol. It will get better. I start my 2 week pre op liquid diet tomorrow and dreading it.
  2. Praying all goes well and that you have a smooth recovery. I'm scheduled for Oct. 15th. Would love to follow your journey if you are up to posting about it after surgery.
  3. I am curious, why do people have to have a revision from sleeve to bypass? Should I be considering the bypass instead of the sleeve? Thx
  4. I like that idea. I will have to try it when I get to that stage.
  5. I'm self pay. Good experienced physician there that worked out good rate with hospital for self pay patients.
  6. I am in the Nashville area also, but surgery will be in Murfreesboro. How are you doing? Are you still in hospital? I would love to follow you since you are about 2 1/2 weeks ahead of me. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
  7. My surgery is scheduled for 10/15/15. I start my liquid diet 10/1/15. I was wondering if there was anyone else in Mid. TN going through this around the same time?
  8. Congratulations on your weight loss and your pregnancy!
  9. Maybe it is not that he does not care, but maybe he is afraid. Some people don't deal with change well.
  10. Thx for all the replies. I am leaning towards going through with it as I do want to live the rest of my life free from this weight. I want to do all the things that I never had the nerve to do because I am overweight. Tired of sitting on the sidelines. If I don't do it now, I figure I am just losing time since I am already 50. I will definitely need to make up my mind by 9/29 as I am self pay and that is when my payment is due! I hate going into debt for this, but hate being obese more.
  11. Wow! Great job. You both look awesome.
  12. @@rusty780 - good insight. "Nothing changes if nothing changes"
  13. I am scheduled for surgery on 10/15/15. However, I keep wondering if I am doing the right thing. I have lost and gained hundreds of pounds over my life. Part of me says just lose it and stay strong enough to keep it off this time. Then I will also not have the pain and side effects of surgery. Another part of me says I have never been able to keep the weight off before and if I lose weight and gain it back, I have lost that time. Maybe the sleeve will help me keep it off. I'm so conflicted in my mind. I need to lose 90 to 100 lbs. Did anyone else go through this? Thx.
