  1. cookies_queen, when you are back to work on Monday, can you update how you are doing, please? I'm planning to do exactly what you did for the same reasons, basically (hubby can drop me off, has no real days off unless an emergency,) and I figure I'll be out of it/tired and might (hopefully) enjoy some rest without my little ones needing my attention.

I have a sedentary job from home and am hoping/praying I can go back to work the next week like you are. Please let me know how it goes!

I'm sorry you were throwing up. That has to be very painful. Eek!

i was tired and sore of course but I made it thru the work week fine. I had to get my kids and sit at soccer practice each night so when I got home I went straight to bed every night. You can do it. It's Saturday and I could have slept late but in wide awake at 6 am!

  2. I hate to ask people for anything... My boyfriend will drop me off and come back when I'm in recovery I'm sure I'll be fine. I did tell my son I would be there alone if he wanted to come. He also has to pick up his 7 year old sister from school and his 16 year old brother from soccer practice and get them home and make dinner. So I'm not exactly depriving him of helping.... Making sure the two of them are taken care of is more important to me than being at the hospital alone... It's just nerve racking I guess. I'll keep my phone and be in touch with everyone up Untill they take it away. I'm hoping by the time I'm in my room the Bf will be off work. Thanks for all the advice... I hope it goes as well as I have it planned tomorrow is the big day!

  3. That gives me hope insurance if they received my authorization yesterday so just waiting to hear back so anxious!!

Doesn't help they told me can take 5 days and they're closed Thursday and Friday

I called my insurance at 12:30 to ask if they had received the packet and they said they did have it, and at 1:30 my surgical coordinator emailed me to say that my surgery was approved. I'm guessing that once they had to look at it because I called they just went ahead and approved it. Doesn't hurt to call them and give a little shove!
That's what I think too... I have called everyday still pending waiting for review by a nurse. How frustrating for me since everyone has said Aetna is so quick... Looks like not quick for me. I'm hoping they approve today and I can still have my surgery on the 9th.

  4. @@cookies_queen Good luck! Just had my meeting with the surgeon today :) All went well, but I was a nervous wreck going into it. Just know that your program wouldn't let you get that far if they didn't think you were ready. Hope all goes well and you get quick approval from your insurance!

im more excited than nervous I'm just ready I want a date and I want to get this started. I paid my huge part for surgery on Friday $1500 bucks they said they should have an answer with in a week from Aetna. My surgeon is open for when ever so... Tick tock tick tick

  5. I have my pre op class where they will go over everything and prepare to submit to insurance. I talked to my counselor today she is confident I will have a surgery date very soon, and it will be before the end of the year. I'm excited, nervous and scared all at once.

  6. Finance at large automotive company. I'm planning to take 3 days off plus the weekend and be back at work Monday.

mayebwe can compare how we feel... My bf is a little nervous I'm not taking time off it may help to compare how we feel. My thoughts from reading all of everyone's journey is I'll be tired even if I'm at home I think I can manage to sit at my desk 8 hours then head home. Or so I hope.
