How long were you in the hospital post op?
3 days. On IV fluids during that time. I was pretty sick after my surgery so I was glad I was not pushed out too quickly. I also had my gall bladder out at the same time which I think slowed my recovery.

Stupid things people say when they find out you've had surgery....
Yep. I find this really disrespectful to my husband too. Just because you are a superficial A-hole doesn't mean he is!

Has anyone had the mini gastric sleeve - minimally invasive with 1 incision?
Can you trust your mum, dad or a sibling?

Stretched Sleeve
Re: Avoid fluids during meals. * Its best to avoid fluids during and right after meals. Give your stomach some time to digest the fluids separately from your food. Consider drinking your fluids an hour or two before a meal. This allows you to eat a decent amount of food without filling up on fluids and ensures that you get enough fluids throughout the day. I have been trying to do this since I read this info. If you wait the full 2hrs it means you are only drinking every four hours. It is 40 degrees here (104F), so that is almost impossible. Am I interpreting it incorrectly? 7am - Fluids 9am - Breakfast 11am - Fluids 1pm - lunch 3pm - Fluids 5pm - dinner 7pm - Fluids

1 year Surgiversary
Bloody hell! That is an amazing transformation. Well done.

Keeping your surgery a secret - is it possible?
I only told my husband and my mum, both super supportive. After reading what some members have been through I will be keeping it this way. I don't need any judgement, this is hard enough already.

At the ER with burning pain
I posted a while back about being totally unable to breathe in the middle of the night http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/356905-I-will-never-eat-straight-before-bed-again%21 I try to never eat past 5pm and avoid anything dry and crunchy after midday. It was terrifying and I never want to experience it again. I hope you can get on top of it. It is strange it has only just started now, so far into your journey.

What, specifically, caused you to become obese?
My mum was morbidly obese then president of Weight Watchers, then morbidly obese. Rinse and repeat. By nature or nurture, I am exactly the same. It is all or nothing. So I have always been either eating 800 calories at day and exercising like a demon or eating 5000 calories a day doing absolutely nothing. I lost more than 80lbs seven times in the last 15 years. Each time I maintained for probably a few hours....

HELP! Cant stop eating!
This is me, but not sweets, it is bread. If I eat a piece of toast for breakfast, I feel hungry all day. If I eat something high Protein, low carb for breakfast , I find it significantly easier to stick to my plan. Maybe start tracking which days you are feeling the greatest hunger and see if there are any patterns with what you ate that day. As much as I looooove toast for breakfast, after a handful of repeat outcomes, I have realised I just can't include it in my diet, even in moderation.

763 day streak.....I guess that is enough
THAT is freaking unbelievable!!! The definition of having your eating under control.

The Best and the Worst: Your Weight Loss Surgery MEDICAL SERVICE Experience
Worst When I came out of surgery I must have been moaning. My first recollection was a male nurse sternly saying 'Ms BC1000, you need to stop moaning and tell us what is wrong'. I had no idea where I even was! Best My surgeon, my Bariatric GP, my nutritionist, my Psychologist, the nurses who cared for me post op. Well, except that nurse in recovery ????
