  1. Does anyone find it difficult to get a whole shake down in the morning? This morning I missed my train because it took so long. Even then I got the sweats as I drank it too fast. I need about 45 minutes to get through all of that liquid. I am already getting up at 5:30!
  2. The reason I don't think mine is hunger is that eating doesn't take the grumbling feeling away at all. Does eating provide you with any relief?
  3. Are you sure it is hunger? My sleeve growls all the time and has some discomfort, but I think it is more the food moving through, not hunger. I am two weeks sleeved.
  4. Rjglbws- congratulations! How wonderful. ???? Nobody warned me about this!
  5. I felt pretty horrible from day 1-4. Day #5 is when I started to feel human. It just got better and better from there. I hope it is the same for you
  6. No way!!! That is freaking amazing. What a huge change. Have you documented your story in a blog? I am blown away.
  7. I watched my 5 year old take 20min today to eat a plain bread roll. It was amazing. He didn't run off in between bites, just a bit of talking. I am modelling myself off him!
  8. Hi there. I have no residual pain or nausea. I feel really great. But I can't sleep! I have stayed awake for two full nights in the past four days. I feel really buzzy. Any ideas??? I am not drinking any caffeine.
  9. Newnetty- which hospital are you going to?
  10. Our scales stopped working and I am not replacing them. I have been obsessed by the numbers in the past, so I don't want to go there again. I will be weighed in two weeks and then every three months at the clinic. I don't want to go through all of those inevitable fluctuation disappointments.
  11. It really does get easier, I didn't believe that. The hunger gradually subsides as do the headaches. The first few days are a killer. Just think of it as a big head start on your weigh loss
  12. Day 4 post op. Finally feeling human! Drank coffee today with soy milk and had some pumpkin soup. Much, much happier now
  13. I can see a huge difference already! Congratulations.
  14. I was at the Mater. I found the surgery really rough. I am still in shock. Trying to drink enough water but every sip is such a huge effort. I can't wait until it passes. How is everyone else going?
  15. Waiting for the train to get to the hospital Last night I dreamt I forgot I was fasting and ate some Papadums. I was freaking out that my surgery would be cancelled.
  16. Smileygal- thanks for the advice. I will speak to the anaesthetist about the vomiting.
  17. Starting to get a little nervous, but looking forward to the start of a much healthier future. It seems so individual how people recover from surgery. That is what worries me most. Some people are feeling pretty good two days post op, and others take weeks. I am also having my gallbladder removed during the surgery.
  18. Hi everyone. I am in Sydney. Being sleeved on Monday. I am really excited! I have been on Optifast for two weeks now.
  19. That is fantastic. What a HUGE amount of weight to lose. Congratulations!!!!
