I'm only 2 weeks out but I have heard about the dreaded 3 week stall. The only thing I've read was to increase your fluid and protein intake but I would like to know what to do as well once my time comes

You may also need to increase your calorie intake especially if you are exercising

    African American vsgers!

@@brandnewme2015 AMEN. I have struggled with my weight all my life. I havent been under 200 pounds since 9th grade. It feels so good to be dropping weight and learning how to eat healthy since my family never learned or even knew what that was I was always eating just because it was there. My mama was old school and cooked for an army at every meal. LOL but I am so grateful for my sleeve and although I am just shy of 4 weeks out I know that this is the start of the rest of my life. Blessings to anyone reading this thats considering the surgery. It will definitely change your life. Blessings to you all.

    African American vsgers!

I'm in Austin I was sleeved on Thursday Nov 5th. Everything is going well. First two days were toughest. Surgery was outpatient. I'm home sipping on broths soups water popsicle etc. They did a hernia repair and that keeps me with fits of hiccups but other than that I'm good. Walking a lot. Haven't taken any pain meds since Saturday morning.

    Gas pains?

My gas pain has been unbearable at times. I was sleeved yesterday and the gas has been kicking my butt. I have been walling a ton. I sip as well but every time I sip I burp which is a little painful. Other wise I'm ok

You're supposed to get nervous: It's surgery. To keep calm as possible, leave a couple of simple preparations for the last two days so that you're occupied until you head out to the hospital. For example, on surgery morning, change the sheets. It's something to do and, if you want a nap when you get home, the bed will be fresh and crisp. Last-minute mind-occupiers should be at home only; get the shopping done by a couple of days before surgery.
