  1. Thank you ???? I definitely will continue to increase until I get to where I need to be
  2. Had my 1 week follow-up and I'm down 32.6 pounds since pre-op ???? I was a bit disappointed at the follow-up, starting with not being seen until an hour after my appointment- really - and then one of the nurses teasing that I'm complaining about the wait- ummm ma'am, it's quite uncomfortable for a newly sleeved person to sit here like this ???? then to top it off, I didn't meet with my surgeon, I met with some other surgeon whom I've never met. He said that I was doing very well but it just was not what I expected. It was also interesting sitting in a waiting room filled with people waiting for a consult or completing weigh-ins - some of the conversations are just a bit much - one lady was reading over documents and telling her husband oh I can't have this and that, well that's not going to work it's my fave/ guess we will have to find a way to sneak it in ???? really is all that came to mind, but it showed me that not everyone is truly ready for a lifestyle change ???? Today made day two back to work and it was definitely better than day 1. I was able to move around more comfortably. Still having discomfort but I guess it comes with the territory Oh yeah I started full liquids today and my body definitely appreciated the creamed tomatoe soup. I only could eat 1/3 but it was a much needed change ????Doing pretty well overall getting in my fluids and Protein. According to the surgeon, don't push myself, if it doesn't fit then don't force it. Well until next time ????

    ...just got real!

So glad to hear that you are doing well, I'm sure the numbers on the scale will be kind but if not look at all of your current NSV's ???????????? I actually weigh myself everyday and use this app to keep the progress. I'm glad that your hernia isn't bothering you this week but so jealous- my hernia repair is awful, I feel like I have acid in my esophagus and I'm having some discomfort but it comes with the territory so I will be patient Yayyy for being able to get away when your hubby chases you- you two sound sooo cute aw thank you! I'm so sorry to hear about the discomfort and acidic feeling you're having! That's got to be aggravating. I have a question. Did your doctor put you on Prilosec at all? My doctor has me start Prilosec one week pre-op and continue until the end of two weeks post-op. I think that's some kind of secret magic key for no acid or something! I've never taken that stuff in my life but he was like take it. Even if you don't have heartburn or discomfort take it - and then he said so many patients won't take it thinking it was options and then they turn up with issues. I took everyday - no issues at all! I hope you feel better soon! I didn't have acid reflux prior to surgery but because of the hernia and gastritis I was taking Protonix I asked if I should continue after and was told only if needed ???? I will ask about the reflux and Prilosec when I see the surgeon tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion ????
  4. Glad to hear you are doing well...definitely try to get in your liquids and protein, you don't want to get dehydrated. I would say it's too soon for purée but everyone's plan is different I don't start purée until week 3

So I went to work today ???? walked like a 1000 year old turtle but I made it ???????? I was able to get in a good amount of fluids and should meet my goal again today. I have my follow-up tomorrow and I can't wait to ask about this awful pain in my side sighh Tomatoe Soup is actually on my full liquid list and I pray that it settles because I am so looking forward to something different. I will dilute it to avoid the acid ???? I don't think you can stretch your pouch with liquids but in the words of my doc, if your full STOP I don't start puréed for 1 more week and I'm ready ???? How's everyone's weight loss coming? I'm down 32 pounds since the pre-op diet woohoooo

Wow really, I actually said I was drinking an approved shake tomorrow because this Isopure is killing me ???????????? so glad to know that it worked. I'm actually trying to figure out what cream Soups I can eat on Tuesday, does anyone have any ideas? I figured tomato but can figure out what else ????

I'm actually feeling crappy today. For whatever reason it feels like something is sitting in my esophagus (guess it's the hernia repair) but it feels awful - acidic and belchy such a gross combo ???? How was everyone's V-Day? I was brave enough to have hot cookies and ice cream delivered to my sweet and omg what was I thinking, they smelled so wonderful but I was good so yayyyyyy

What can I do with...Brussels Sprouts?

Yummmm I so love Brussel sprouts - you can break them into like shredded consistency throw them on a baking sheet and toss in salt/ pepper and olive oil bake for about 30 minutes at 400 degrees or do the same thing but replace the olive oil with balsamic vinegar They will come out crispy and yummy
  10. Everyone's plan seems to differ, but I would say be careful as you are still healing - you don't want to do too much to fast. I would personally hold off on pasta, if more calories are needed add a scoop of protein to the soup My plan states week 1 clear liquids 40 G protein and 48 ounces of liquid Week 2 is Full liquid Week 3-6 purée and soft Purée must be baby food consistency Soft everything must be mashed with a fork without any lumps

    Any FEBRUARY sleevers?!

Feb 3rd. Lost 14 pre-op, 23.5 since surgery. Going pretty well so far!Are you still feeling any discomfort and are you able to get all of your Protein and liquids consistently? Congrats on the weight loss, you are doing wonderful Oh what food stage at you on? No discomfort, that ended a few days ago. I'm on purée stage two. So far I've made seafood bisque and pizza soup (it was incredible) and eat about 2/3 of a cup. I also tried Wendy's chili, but wasn't a fan. My favorite was puréed Campbell's chicken enchilada soup. It's pretty easy for me to get 64oz of liquids a day. I've been at 30-45g of protein from shakes and then add onto that whatever I get from soups. Oh awesome, I'm so ready for puréed but I have a few weeks. Please share any of your great recipes, if you don't mind of course. I have been trying to figure out what I will eat in the purée stage and so far all I have come up with is the ricotta bake and Greek yogurt ????

Keep doing it. We are here to motivate each other! I haven't mixed any shakes on my Clear Liquids stage, figured I will wait for full liquids. I am drinking Isopure Protein Drinks, which have 40 grams of protein but I can't wait to be done with them ????

    Any FEBRUARY sleevers?!

February 9th here, today I feel better than I have since surgery. I was able to get in all of my liquids and Protein for the first time so yayyyy I also have my follow-up on Tuesday
  15. You're not alone, all of our bodies are different and info is important. I have to sleep on my side also and have found that if I keep a pillow pressed against my stomach it's doable. I can't do the back sleeping thing as I have severe migraines and that just eggs them on.

I'm still swollen and experiencing pain in my large incision. SF Popsicles were my guilty pleasure pre surgery, now they repulse me. They taste like pure sugar and it makes me sad ????

Yes, I urinate less and it's not as clear as before. It was like Water but now it's resembling urine ???? (I know tmi) LOL I had a BM yesterday and it was scary but so necessary. I haven't taken anything to force one, it came on its on. My doctor did say if we didn't have one for a bit not to be concerned as there is not much to come out at this stage.
  19. 1. I am experiencing the absolute worst pain near my large incision. It literally feels like burning fire on my skin. The other incisions are fine and I find the most discomfort around the large one, not directly on it, more around it. I reached out to the PA and was told that it's normal as I just had surgery less than a week ago. I'm just curious if anyone has experienced anything similar. 2. For those of you who went back to work around a week post op, how did you manage to not aggravate your incisions when wearing a bra etc? Are you guys wearing shape wear to help relieve some pressure? Thanks in advance for any answers

It probably was too hot. I have the unjury chicken soup and it states it can't be boiling hot. Trying letting the soup cool prior to adding the protein
  24. I am sorry that you are having a hard time, it will all be worth it in the end. I was sleeved on the 8th and it's still a work in progress. This gas thing is pretty gross lol but it's necessary. Mine is mostly belching but oh wells. They say that some people do gain after so don't stress yourself, I would stay off of the scale until you are healed from your cough and able to get in liquids and protein.
