Any other gay sleevers out there?

Man thank you so much. I have been doing 2 premiere Proteins a day, but they're wayyyyy to sweet. Chicken broth is wayyyy to salty. Lol. I am making do with Water and Jello sugar free pudding. Went to Starbucks and got a peach green tea lemonade unsweetened. Best thing ever. I'm doing good with getting at least 64 ounces of Fluid, but the sweet protein - yuck. Have you tried unflavored protein? I use GENEPRO almost every day, it's 30 grams per tablespoon and has no flavor. I add a scoop in decaf coffee, I also use it in SF pudding..I purchase mine on Amazon. One way to cut the sweetness on the premiere is by adding it to cold decaf coffee, with a few pumps of SF torani syrup. With the chicken broth, are you getting low sodium? Our taste buds change so drastically after surgery but I promise it gets easier everyday

Oh I meant to ask what kind of fiber do you take? Since I can't go I've been taking dulcalax daily and I don't know if at some point it will have a negative effect on my body, so fiber seems like a safer option

Positive congrats on the new job...I know that our group has gone quiet but I still login and lurk often as it helps keep me focused, so I'm always around if you need support It is very easy to get caught in old habits but it's amazing that you immediately notice and correct it The new plan sounds like a winner, at least to get your body off of the bad food items... Keep pushing forward and stay the course...you got this [emoji51]

Any other gay sleevers out there?

Taxudown- I lived on isopure protein, premier protein, chicken broth, Popsicles ..... Because I got bored with regular chicken broth I started purchasing ramen noodles and drinking the broth only....I also would have tomato soup from time to time....hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions [emoji16]

Hey Positive I've missed you guys...yep we missed our official 6 months but we made it [emoji16] I'm finally on the losing side again. I had increased my calories and was working out harder and gained 5 pounds, I was not a happy camper because it made zero sense but glad to report 2 weeks later I am finally down those 5 pounds plus an additional 3. I am officially 100 pounds lighter than I was when I started this journey. Although I don't see it, it's a great feeling and great to say out loud. It's interesting that no one knows how much weight I've lost not even my spouse but I'm comfortable sharing it with you guys. I'm still having a hard time using the bathroom and have resulted in taking dulcalax once per day, my sleeping is off so I take my sleeping pills more often and I can't eat salad [emoji107] lettuce really upsets my stomach so I have accepted that salad is no longer part of my world..other than that all is well, still no hunger but I'm having sweet cravings like candy more often than not, how's everyone else doing?

    Breast reduction questions

I had a breast reduction prior to the sleeve. I went from a really large I think DD or larger to a high B cup, which increased to a C with weight gain. The surgeries are nothing alike, I needed more help with the reduction because of the initial restriction in movement. I did have to lie on my back for both operations to sleep but couldn't use the restroom on my own after the reduction. I don't remember how long until I drove but I remember every bump in the road when in a car was uncomfortable. Hope that helps

Hey 2/9ers HAPPY THURSDAY - so let's talk about a non scale victory, I purchased a pair of size 14 jeans for future wear lol and guess who fit in them perfectly with some room to spare wooohoooooo - this may not sound like big news to some but it is big news to me...I am a woman with curves and I have ummmm a good share of rear end hahahahaha so jeans and I have a love hate relationship - typically I purchase them a few sizes bigger because of my curves so to get in those 14's wooooohooooo - that is all for now, anyone else have a victory to share scale/non scale

Everyone is doing so great, I'm so proud and excited for all of us. Positive it's funny how each of us carry our weight so differently. I too have always been one of those people who looked smaller then they actually were....don't allow others to determine what your end goal should be, if you want to get down to 135 then do it. It's your body and you have to be 100% comfortable I work out 5 to 6 times a week and like you Jenn the weight loss has slowed down significantly but I diligently work hard to get a minimum of 100 grams of protein and get in exercise... I also try to stay under 1000 calories but find that I don't lose if my carb intake is too low, so I try to stay under 60

Positive thanks for the constipation tips, that's pretty much the same thing my PCP said - I did purchase both and sad to say I WILL NEVER TAKE EX LAX AGAIN OMG [emoji107] Wow 146, where did you start? Are you at goal and in maintenance now? Congrats on getting down to that 6 or 8, I can't wait [emoji16] Have you tried prenatal vitamins for the splitting nails?

Happy Friyay 2/9ers - so is anyone having constipation issues and if so what are you doing to correct? Sorry for such a gross topic but omg this is getting ridiculous [emoji15][emoji107] Other than that how is everyone doing overall? I saw my PCP today and she kept complimenting me on my loss and stating how she loved that they came out with the sleeve (she's not about the bypass life)....I've decided to use her for the remainder of my follow-ups so it's always great to hear her support - on another note my weight has been yuck this week - the devil scale decided to go up almost 2 pounds for no reason and now those 2 pounds are gone but sad to say nothing else in the poundage loss area but staying the course and remaining positive [emoji16]

Jenns did you try one of the drinks yet? Positive - I'm glad that I could help regarding the alcohol...I'm trying to steer clear for the most part for a little while. I take 3000 mcg of B12 daily, the sublingual tablet and my energy is typically ok...it may be linked to you not eating enough calories and Protein (especially since you are working out 3 days a week) ....I would start with the b12 and upping your calories and protein, u may have to force yourself to eat something every few hours...I really try not to eat things that don't offer me some protein just to ensure I'm getting in as much as possible....if that doesn't work, you may need to follow up with the Doctor

JennsJourney I am now averaging between 90 and 100 grams of Protein per day - I have some form of protein shake/ mix for Breakfast everyday....with premier I make a cold caramel coffee drink tastes like a cold caramel macchiato from Starbucks: I take a cup of decaf coffee and about 2-3 tablespoons of sugar free caramel and mix it into a large cup of ice with vanilla or chocolate premier. If I don't have time to make coffee at home I stop at Starbucks and get a grande iced Americano with 2 pumps of SF caramel in a trenta cup and dump the shake in it.....my other go to is a latte: I make a cup of coffee and I will froth 1 cup of skim fair life milk (which has like 13 grams of protein) add a teaspoon of GENEPRO Protein powder (30 grams per tablespoon) and a few tablespoons of some SF syrup yummmmm I swear by both drinks My weight loss is so fickle but I weigh myself everyday, which helps hold me accountable and know what my body didn't appreciate the day before - I find that with the increased protein, and exercise the scale will move, so I average a few pounds a week but I do have my no loss weeks and have considered myself a slower loser .... The weight will continue to come off, just continue your path I also have thin hair and I have some hair loss but I take 10,000mg of Biotin everyday which I think has helped with some loss Overall I am doing well, I wish the weight would just be gone in the morning when I wake but we know that won't happen Hope this helps, let me know if you need me to clarify anything or if you have any other questions

    Portion sizes help please

SunshynrRN my suggestion is to enter each recipe into my fitness pal, that way you can exactly tract the calorie/protein etc....when I made the ricotta bake I placed it into a muffin tin that way it was portioned as exact as I could get it...hope that helps

TxJP - But of course [emoji8], we have to support each other Do any of you drink alcohol and if so what and how often? From time to time I have indulged in a glass of wine and my tummy handles it well but I haven't had a glass this weekend and dropped 5 pounds [emoji15] I guess it's true what they say about empty calories

Lauriessp thanks for the vitamin recommendation, I will definitely look for it...congrats on the 45 pound loss, it's so interesting to see how everyone's weight loss fluctuates - keep drinking your water and working out - my weight loss has been on the slower end and I have upped my protein and get in no less than 90 grams per day Is anyone using an app to keep track of your weight loss? I use one called my weight and I love it...you put when you want to reach your goal and it calculates your daily and weekly loss average

TxJP congrats on smaller sizes [emoji322][emoji322][emoji322][emoji322] you will lose the 89 pounds, I'm not far from you and we will continue to support each other - no one that I work with knows and they never will, I'm such a private person and believe it's no ones business but my own so don't feel forced to share the information unless you want to Jenn welcome to the 2/9er group and major congrats on a 93 pound loss, I mean wow that's amazing is that all since surgery? Howdy 2/9ers I miss you guys, it's so quiet in here I guess everyone is off working extra hard in the gym Happy 4th all is well on my end, still slowly losing - finding that I can eat more, but I suppose that's not a bad thing - on average how many calories and Protein is everyone getting in? I'm about 800-1000 calories and I shoot for a minimum of 80 G protein and average about 90G Positive and TxJP I take Biotin daily as well but heard that the hair can still come out - I've definitely experienced loss and thought about taking a collagen supplement that's supposed to aide in hair growth
