Hey guys just an update on my journey. Remember I was nauseous for days, well I ended up being hospitalized for 4 days.. they had to do an endoscopy cause they couldn't find what was wrong. Ended up being that I had an obstruction so they had to put a balloon to open up my sleeve a little. But I am doing better now just getting my energy back little by little. but other than I am 2 months post op & I am down 57 lbs 3 pant sizes down! So I am very happy about that

I'm 8 weeks post op and have lost 23 pounds. My Vitamin D was in normal range and I'm cleared to eat lettuce, rice, pasta, and bread. I just need to be careful with it. Some days I still struggle with cravings and being hungry. I try to chase off my cravings by drinking flavored water and using positive self talk. This is my story for today.

I just had my two month post op on Thursday. I'm down 45 pounds and Vitamin levels look good except for my Vitamin D. Have to up that like a lot! I can't see the difference in the mirror but can tell in the way clothes fit. I am down two pant sizes which is great. I have about 55-60 pounds left to go until I reach my ideal weight. Glad to see that everyone else is doing well. ????

@@SleeveandRNYchica I can't have salad until 3 months, all the Dr.'s are different, I'm jealous, miss my salads! I'm at 8 weeks now, & still have a lot of the chewables left but once they are gone, I don't plan on staying on them. They are an extra 30 calories a day. I noticed a lot of us aren't on here as much, I think everyone is doing better & not as scared as before surgery, soaking up all the info we could!!! Plus just busy going back to work & holidays! Hopefully we will all check in periodically to see how we are doing.
I got my blood work back & it was very good except I had a little too high of B12 ! Go figure! Never expected to be too high in something. I think I figured out why, I drink a Powerade zero 32 oz every day & it has B12 in it so with the multi 2 x & it I'm getting too much. So I will cut back to every other day of the powerade zero & see what my next blood work says. I'm getting 45 min. of walking 6 days a week. The weight loss has slowed down but is still moving.

I had my 6 week appointment yesterday. My doctor was happy with my weight loss. She said to keep working on getting all of my Protein and Water. She is really happy with my results so far, 25 pounds. She thinks I be very successful. I have another appointment in 2 months. Good appointment.

Saw my Nut and surgeon yesterday. Both are thrilled with my progress. I am 4 weeks post rny.
I was cleared for all foods. I am to have 6 meals/ Snacks per day. Never to exceed 1/2 cup of either, FOREVER! NUT told me to work up to 1000 calories per day as my body will tolerate. I'm currently about 600.
My program was very strict pre op for 6 months. Not because of ins. Requirements, but because that's how the surgeon does it. He wants the head habits changed as much as possible before the rny . So far, so good with my food tolerance. Now if I could only poop, I'd be golden!!!LOL

@@LoseItKacy Sounds like a good plan & what a lot of people are on except the 1/4 of cup after 2 months seems limited but our plans are all different. I think mine allowing me a cup at 3 months is way too much!! I'm staying at 2/3 cup for at least 6 months 3x a day. If my blood work shows different I will change. Oh I do have 1 snack a day of lowfat string cheese 50 cal. & 7 grams of Protein after I walk. I'm also staying away from carbs & all sugar.

I thought I was the only one! :-) I had RNY as well. But I think my doctor made it this size because during the consultation my husband mentioned that he was against bypass because of the size stomach I would be left with. The doctor quickly jumped back to say, that it wont be any smaller than the sleeve I had originally planned for. I only realized my size because the doctor gave me a letter for me to give to my primary physician.

Hi @@edie091371, so happy to hear you and your hubby are doing so well! I am doing great over here and just moving right along… I had my 2 month appt yesterday and I've lost a little over 50lbs from my HW, so my doctor was very pleased. I am trying to fine tune my eating habits and focus more on exercising and not drinking during meals (very hard for me, lol!). Love hearing about your new venture and wish you the best with the nail salon! Sounds like it will be a great success, Congrats!

@@kvoneye You are doing great with your weight loss! I'm down 22 but with a week longer having surgery! Looks like we are loosing very similar! I'm just taking it day by day! I do well with my Protein, always rely on my Protein Shake if I haven't ate much. The Water is harder for me, I get busy & forget. Have to take benefiber every day to keep things moving. I'm staying completely away from all sugars, don't even want to start on that again. I walk when I can more days than not. Hope you meet your goal, if not I'm sure you will have loss as much as you have already & plus some!!! Best of luck to you, I'm right with ya!!

@@Mogwaicat Your plan of trying new things later in the day is a good idea!! I have noticed that if I don't get my Protein for the day or Water, I feel it the next day every time. I'm tired & achy! Its so hard especially the water, I get busy & before I know it I'm behind on my amounts! Its so easy to forget!!!! I think I will tie my water bottle around my neck to remember!!

I had my 6 week post-op appointment this past week. My surgeon is pleased with my progress. I can eat all foods now and can add weights to my exercising.
I am in another stall and hope this one doesn't last as long as the last one. I am feeling well, though and get in my Protein. Water and Vitamins as I am supposed to do. I forget sometimes that I am just 6 weeks out from surgery and overdo it. Our choir had their Christmas cantata this past Sunday and besides singing I played a few instruments - for two services. I hit the wall about half way through the second service and didn't think I would get through it - but I did. Went home and slept 4 hours!
Hope everyone else is getting along better. Seems like it gets easier as every week passes.
