  1. Hopefully you're feeling good now!! I know I am. Except for some Days, I have zero energy. and you're totally right, everyone's pre op is so different!
  2. I know what you mean!! I didn't do chicken broth pre op...because I knew I'd HAVE to do it post op and didn't want to be burnt out on it. Right now, I love it. and Instead pre op...I did shakes after shakes after shakes. Peanut Butter banana smoothies with Protein are SO FILLING and they are what got me through...occasionally, i had a cucumber with chili y limon...but i shouldnt have. alot of it is mental too. keep ur mind busy. watch Netflix. not TV because TV has so many BOMB food commercials...ugh. Thank you. My surgery is sept 21 Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk You're welcome! The date will be here before u know it. Be strong. ☺So you slipped up on your two week post op diet. I'm hungry but I had a very minor slip and I felt guilty Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk Yes. I did. Not just once either. My bday was Aug 29. I went to olive garden. HORRIBLE. I know. But I'm VERY thankful all came out ok and that I haven't done or ate anything I shouldn't as of now. I know the guilt you speak of too. Lol....lots of things in common.

  4. I am very very post op still. Just had it done 9/2...went in on Wednesday and came home Friday. When I got home...I slept SO MUCH...didn't even think about food. It was difficult. Lots of pressure I'm my chest n tummy. But every day that went by got better n better. I know exactly what u mean by moody!!! Our emotions are all jacked up. Even after, you'll be even crabbier!! Just try to keep ur eye on the prize and we'll make it through!!
  5. Don't give up! So many times I wanted to give in...but stayed strong. ???? After surgery...it's much much easier. You don't even want to look at food!!!! Hang in there!!
  6. These are all such great ideas!!!!! Keep them coming!!! ???? I'll be on pureed foods next week!!!
  7. This sounds sooo yummy. Definitely going to try this next week when I get to pureed stage!!! I love crock pot recipes!!!! ????????????????
  8. Hey there. My surgery was 9/2 and I'll tell you one thing...it gets worse before it gets better. I literally had ZERO energy for the first 5 or 6 days after surgery. I slept for the first 4 days. I knew I had to drink n get protein in but I just couldnt. my chest hurt. my belly hurt. my body ached. it was awful!!! but up until about 2 or 3 days ago...I finally started getting some energy and had some motivation to get up n get moving. Things WILL get better and you will start making progression!!! Take each day as it comes...and listen to ur body. If I can be of any help, feel free to send me a message. get better soon!!!
  9. Same for me. It was worse that having the surgery itself! ????????
  10. Hey there. I'm 8 days post op. During those first few days, I didn't hit my 64 Oz water/fluid or protein goals. I just did the best I could. I also felt very achy and really just wanted to sleep. ???? ???? ???? take it slow and listen to ur body...sucking on ice chips and warm broth helped me feel a little more "alive" too...right now, I wouldn't worry too much about calories as much...water/fluids are probably most important. feel free to check with your nutritionist too!! Also, things do start getting better!!! I promise. I didn't think they would...many nights with tears...but it does get better.
  11. That must be her tummy talking lol ????????????

  19. Great tips, Toni!! I didn't know that about ice!! I'm opposite of you. My incision/part of tummy that hurts the most in on my right...so I sleep on the left. ???? I still am not able to sleep in any position other that on my back...will try pillow under my knees tonight!! Also, I bought a belly binder only and it just came in today...I put it on and unfortunately it's not very comfortable, yet. It kinda hurts the sore spot on my right. hopefully soon!

  21. I bought a dry erase board! For every 2 oz lil cup I drink, I make a tally. ???? Works for me! As for protein, I'm having issues with getting it in. So I just kinda keep track in my head.
