  1. I'm not sure what starting weight and goal weight I should use??? The weights I'm quoting were posted yesterday??? Let me know what to enter. Thanks! ???? I guess we can use the 2nd entry being that that was closer to my original weigh in prior to TOM and New Year's Eve
  2. Did you lose 5lbs in one day??? If so tell me how???? yes I did, that was a gain after having a New Year's Eve couple of drinks and getting my period!!!! Sorry no wonderful tips or secrets!!!! I had been at 256 prior to all that!!
  3. np! I feel the same way sometimes! Breakfast--6oz coffee with protein powder Lunch--star creations (any flavor) and 3-4 Brussels sprouts in garlic butter Snack-- pepperoni chips (1serving) Dinner--any lean meat I make and about 1/2cup or less of veggies Snack--another coffee with protein powder or a quest bar Don't know if I'm taking the right approach, as my NUT is having chemo and has no replacement yet but I'm kinda doing a sort of Atkins/south beach diet thing. Bad part is... I beat myself up if I do "fall off track" and have some no-no carb, and I HATE that feeling of failure.
  4. Hey girlies!! Miami girl here sleeved on 8/27/15 by Dr Mederos in Hialeah hospital. He is fantastic and I'm down 87lbs!!! Glad to see all the Miami peeps here!!!! Here's to all of us losing some rollitos!!
  5. Hey guys!! Jeni here from Miami, Fl. Sleeved 8/27/15
  6. we are almost exactly the same! I had surgery on August 27,2015--started at 348 and got down to 256 (although NYE put me back at 261) EXCEPT I haven't done too much exercise other than walking a couple times a week. Keep up the good work and congrats on all the weight loss!
  7. I also was pretty irresponsible NYE and had some (ok alot) of doritos and half a shot glass of coffee patron to say goodbye to 2015. I'm still paying for it!!! Not only did I have a weight gain of 6lbs. YES!!!! 6lbs, but I haven't come out the bathroom since then! I've been back on the magic carpet ride (my term for this journey) since but my body is still not very happy
  8. it'll get better!!! Rest, sip, and sip some more!!
  9. Here's a full body one ???? Before:4 months out:
  10. Well if I'm craving something savory/ salty, I have pepperoni chips (just nuke for a minute or so) with maybe some hummus or cream cheese... Sweets I do some plain Greek yogurt with a sprinkle of sugar free pudding (powder form in butterscotch flavor)
  11. Forget them 2lbs!!! Look at the beautiful result!! Amazing!!! Good job! I was sleeved on August 27 and I'm down 82lbs and I'm supposedly rocking this thing, so you Madame are a true ROCKSTAR!!!!
  12. I started at 330lbs and a size 28 (5"5) now 3 months later I'm 268lbs and size 16/18 top and bottoms. I've always worn a smaller size comparing my weight??? I guess it's how I carry my weight??? Idk and have given up trying to figure it out! On the bright side.... I can shop at Old Navy!!! Woohoo!!!
  13. i second that!! I love me some microwaved pepperoni!!!
  14. thanks for all the info!! We have a friend of the family that is a RT and gave him a cpap machine because he assumed apnea, my husband hasn't had medical insurance EVER in his adult life, needless to say, no healthcare at all. He's at a new company in which I enrolled him in the insurance, it's crappy but it's something... Problem is getting him to see a doc now. (Baby steps) he has everything you mentioned above, the actions in his sleep, excessive daytime sleepiness and he's lucky to sleep a full hour EVER!!! He's up 9-10 times a night. His waking up is torture do he goes to smoke a cig every time, I know nicotine is a stimulant and I've told him but he's hardheaded
  15. Unlikely narcolepsy. He's majorly sleep deprived and should seek treatment if he hasn't already. His sleep deprivation is causing Excessive Daytime Sleepiness. Narcolepsy is part genetic, part auto immune, part environmental. But a sleep disorder is a sleep disorder so feel free to stick around. Might help pinpoint my issues under anesthesia. I was setting off alarms out of surgery because my heart rate was too low. Floated in and out of consciousness and had problems with sitting or standing. Forget walking. I'd go into shock. I now wish I named this forum Sleep Disorders & WLS the only treatment given was the cpap machine and he hates that thing! He says it gives him nightmares of being suffocated or choked? As his sleep apnea/sleep walking had worsened... His weight has skyrocketed. He's gone from being about 215lbs (6"1) to 350lbs in less than year. No diet change except no more beer (it worsens the apnea) that totally sucks that you had a hard time with anesthesia.... Must of been some scary shit!!
  16. Stick with it!!! I went through the whole 6 month process THREE times before getting my sleeve in August. This is just a test of self determination, if you can go through all the hoops, you can endure the new relationship with your body/food after surgery!! Good luck and congrats!
  17. I know the feeling! I'm used to his snoring, it's when he stops snoring that I wake up,because I know he is not breathing. So scary!!!
  18. Following!!!!! my husband has severe sleep apnea and I believe it has turned into a form of narcolepsy. He falls asleep while walking and has me scared out of my mind
  19. Before (3months ago exactly) and now down 74lbs!!!!
  20. It seems like my joints are more sensitive now, and I'm at my 2nd stall. Gained 5 and stopped losing for two weeks now? I'm exactly 3 months out on thanksgiving day and down 55 pounds since DOS. OP... How much have you lost and how far out are you?
